Huaisang didn't kill his enemies himself; he brought back the most powerful, chaotic person he knew (Wei Wuxian[who is assumed as the bad guy bcz he is the grandmaster of demonic cultivation]) and the fingers of other ppl from cultivation world automatically pointed him . If the theory holds true, the Duffers are using the audience's expectations of a "standard 80s adventure" to set us up for one hell of a meta thing .

The Duffer Brothers are conducting a social experiment on the audience. In Mo Dao Zu Shi, the "large scale manipulation" worked because everyone was so distracted by the big war and the "obvious" villain (Wei WuXain and Jin Guangyao) that they never looked at the guy holding the fan.

Huaisang used the chaos of the "fierce corpses" to distract the Sect Leaders, While they were fighting monsters, he was planting evidence.

The Duffers used the "80s Nostalgia" and the "Defeating Vecna" as the distraction. While we are worried about clocks and tentacles,while they were building a Camazotz/Fake Reality trap that we didn't even notice we walked into.

Huaisang knew Wei Wuxian’s personality so well that he knew exactly how WWX would react to every clue[Hell he even knew how jiang cheng and lan wangji would react and how much that will help him even more]. He played everyone like an instrument.

The Duffers know exactly what the fans want (or what they think they want). If the "Conformity Gate" is real, they have been playing all of us

⭐ I just finished Beryl and Sapphire and it was such a chill but emotional series. The alternate universes were super fun, and the robot-Beryl one ended up being my favorite.
