Last one for the night. This has been the absolutely most amazing experience I’ve ever had since the car accident in 1993...25+ years of chronic pain, nerve damage, and 20 surgeries. I’ve never had any of the previous surgeries go this smoothly. I went into surgery at 12, in recovery by 2:30, woke up around 4, and home by 8:30...for a disc removed, a cage installed, facets cleaned up, and a plate in place to fuse C6/C7 together. Obviously I’m gonna be sore for a few days...they did stretch and pull muscles and parts, and I’m losing my voice, but the constant feeling like I was holding an electrical fence is gone. That was so mentally exhausting to try to not focus on that feeling. For the first time in years, my shoulders and neck are relaxed. Thank you for the prayers, positive thoughts, and offers to help as needed. Moving to Idaho was the best decision we made for our family... mentally, spiritually, and physically. And a HUGE shout out to the @westvalleymed staff. Y’all have the best patient care.
