Book Reco: The Love Hypothesis
If you want a story set in academia with a fake-dating trope and nerdy sexy characters go for this book!!! It has spice to it and surprising twists. πͺπΌπͺπΌπͺπΌ

I had this book, on my shelf, for a few years now. Then, i rewatched Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) just recently, i then searched for a list of the best books about Dracula or vampires, and The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova was included.
It was a slow but great, engrossing read! It has both of my fave genres/themes: history and suspense thriller. I recommend this book for anyone who loved/liked the classic novel Dracula, very interested in any literature about vampires, specifically Vlad 'The Impaler' Tepes of Wallachia, and history in general. Well paced, and you know the author did some research to write the book, and exciting at-the-edge-of-your-seat from start to finish!
Colleen Hoover has brought me out of my reading slump again! Finished in under a week. Thereβs never gonna be a Colleen Hoover book that I donβt love.
I know now, I didn't know what love was. Or what even the echo of heartbreak felt like.
To stand in front of a person who is your whole world and be told you are not enough. You are not the choice. You are a shadow to the person who is your sun.

I have been going through a roller coaster of emotions these past weeks, so i decided to turn to my fave refuge: reading something light, which for me is the YA genre, and sketching. I read Fallen years ago but it did not appeal to me, so i did not read the rest of the series. Then i came across the movie adaptation, and vaguely remember what i read before, so i decided to give the series another chance. Though the 1st 3 books are kind of a drag, Rapture made me a bit teary eyed and it was a good ending for the whole series. Jeremy Irvine gave Daniel life, damn he really is a good actor! and Harrison Gilbertson as Cam was awesome! Addison Timlin was a great Luce. We definitely deserve a movie adaptation of the rest of the books! The sketch was a bit inspired by the series, and it has been a year since i last drawn anything, i missed it.
Just sharing:
After a week of trudging through this book, I finally finished it! Whew.... while Midnight Sun is not good, it's not bad either. My inner 19 yr old has now been satisfied, I can now finally move on from wondering how Edward's POV ended from thay leaked version years ago.
Quarantine Lockdown Day 57: Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton- Done
I have been reading classic novels ever since ECQ began, and i wanted to get out of it and read something from a different genre.
One of his well known works, so well known that a whole franchise (movie, merchandise, theme park ride, etc) has been built around it. I have watched the 1993 movie, and it forever made a mark on me: a) i realized that im extremely afraid of dinosaurs, so scared a screamed bloody murder, swore loudly on guys dressed in a very good costume of a velociraptor at my daughter's field trip (shocked the parents, but i was awed at by her classmates). And b) that i have become even more amazed by the One that created us all, that the One was able to create something as great as the dinosaurs (im still glad they are extinct). This book and its movie adaptation are one of the rare few that both complimented each other. Jurassic Park is simply an amazing, exhilarating read! And because of this book, i don't know what to read next.
