Donaris Fest is a social and cultural platform which aims for increasing interest in urban art and culture , gathering young artists across Europe with the main purpose of making an active international community, keen on creation and swarming with ideas.

The first edition of Donaris Fest (2012) was supported through PACT for COMMUNITY foundation and Balkans Let’s Get Up Asociation, being also the first urban culture and arts festival in Giurgiu. This festival is also an opportunity to create a socio-cultural platform for promoting arts and culture in various forms, for youngsters in the Balkans region to network, and to mobilize the local/regional community for ecological, educational and entertainment activities. Donaris Fest was organized by the Giurgiu People initiative group (formed in 2010), Donaris Creative Production & Kino Giurgiu and is focused on having an active role in promoting local art and culture in the Balkans, improving community life through specific events and campaigns, and bringing together the Romanian and Bulgarian communities for social and cultural activities. The organizers, also, want to involve volunteers through their website and social media platforms, in order to promote both the festival and the act of volunteering as a social asset.
