help me dommie-wan kenobi, you're my only hope||rose&dom
It was times like these where her thoughts ran wild and her life spun out of control in front of her that she wished she could just lay a hand over her eyes and become invisible. Most people knew her which was a complete curse ninety percent of the time, now was no exception. Wherever she went she acquired stares and some (more frequent) glares from Gryffindors who had heard about her fight with Lily. The marks on her face might be gone, but it seemed that was all that had disappeared. People just couldnât get enough of the WeasleyâPotter family, especially when drama was involved (which was rather often.) During these times, she retreated to her quiet space and hoped and prayed it would work itself out without her because no matter how cruel she could be, she didnât like instigating confrontation if she didnât have to; thatâs just a waste of energy.
There were so few people left in her life that were completely impartial to the whole debacle. Sure, James did a pretty good job of itâbut she couldnât go to him. Al had punched Scorpius and thought she should âwork it out,â which she hadnât a clue how to do, so she went to the last person she hadnât royally fucked up withâDom. Her cousin was always there for her, even when she least deserved it. Like right now, she didnât deserve the kind understanding treatment she was getting from some. She had overreactedâthough she wouldnât admit itâand acted like a child. Scorpius was not some shiny toy to fight over and he could kiss who he liked (though she hadnât a clue why that would be Lily of all people.) Sure, she was upsetâthat much was justified. He was her best friend and he kissed her. And after kissing her cousin, that just made her feel used. Like she was the second option and Rose Weasley was never anybodyâs second choice.
She was doing a pretty good job of dodging people and stares when she ran, inadvertently, into the person she was looking for. It was like a breath of fresh air seeing Dom look so normal and nonchalant. No matter how hard she tried she just couldnât master Domâs air of carelessness. Things got to Rose, they dug under her skin and festered something horrible until she addressed them, but Dom, she was a rock. And she was beautiful, so that helped. And Rose knew she could help her sort out her brain. Then she would be able to sleep more than three hours (as she had last nightâand not for lack of trying.) âDom,â Rose called, hailing down her cousin. âI need your help.â That was as good a start as any, she figured. Asking for help.
