Prompt: “Your music choice is so bad but your undeniably yet irritatingly cute when you bop your head along.”
Words:
A/N: I wrote this as a gift for my best friend, ily girl! ❤️
“Another class done.” Marshall breathed as he walked out of the classroom as the lunch bell rang. He couldn’t wait for lunch, “Maybe when I finish my lunch i’ll go and practice my piano.”
Marshall grabbed his black backpack as he walked towards the canteen. He grabbed his lunch and walked out calmly.
“Marsh! Over here!” He heard his best friend, Charlie, call out to him. He also saw his other friend, Keanan (Nem as a nickname)
He sat at the table, delighted at his friends appearance and that Charlie’s mom finally made him wake up and go to school on time.
“Guys, if it’s alright, I’m going to play piano at lunch? Are you guys going to be okay alone?” Marshall asked, looking at both of his friends in their eyes.
“Yeah sure!” They replied in unison.
A couple of seats sat a long hair brunette with chocolate eyes. Her head rested on her hand, her elbow sitting on her table. She couldn’t stop these feelings she had for Marshall.
“Hey Ari! What’s up y’all!” Her best friend, Caitlyn, laughed before sitting next to her, “Geez, A, what’s up? You seem all love struck with Marshall?”
Ari didn’t respond, which Caitlyn knew that was very unlike for her bestest friend.
“First Lyd and Linds aren’t here, and now your googily eyeing Marshall? I prefer Sebastian.” Caitlyn stared at her boyfriend before looking at her best friend, “Or does Ari have a crush on Marshall.”
Ari sighed while smiling.
“I SAW THAT! ARI AND MARSHALL SITTING ON A TREE. K-I-S-S-I-N-G!” Caitlyn laughed.
“CAIT! Okay, I really like Marshall! Prom is coming and I don’t know how to ask him?
“Seb already promposed, and I heard Marshall saying he’s planning to play piano in the music room at lunch.” Caitlyn shrugged her shoulders.
Ari saw Marshall leave, which alerted her. She just bolted from the room, leaving her best friend alone.
“HEY!” Caitlyn yelled.
Marshall walked into the music room, sighing as he dropped his school bag on the floor. He walked towards the keyboard that was sitting a distance away.
He sat on the chair and placed his headphones on his ears.
“Just let your hands go wild.” he whispered to himself as he began to play.
Ari walked towards the playground when she heard the piano playing. She really wasn’t much of a piano person, but something about that person playing had that feeling she had to like it.
She walked towards the room and leaned on the door way, seeing the face of the person who was playing. It was Marshall!
Marshall stopped playing once he heard Ari shuffle in the doorway. He blushed at the sight of his secret crush watching him play.
“Your music choice is so bad but your undeniably yet irritatingly cute when you bop your head along.” Ari laughed softly, “I’m not really a piano person but you playing makes me want to play.”
Marshall looked at the seat next to him.
“You know, theres a spare spot if you want to uh, play.” Marshall gestured to the spare seat next to him.
Ari sofly smiled, sitting next to him.
Marshall guided her hands to the notes and what to play...
After playing, They both looked at each other.
“All these feelings I have, their for you. Look, I have a major crush on you.” Marshall sighed.
“I was about to say that.” Ari whispered, “Now, let’s play.”
