It's nice to see somebody with similar opinions around Vettel as me, during his Red Bull years I could never warm to him and then he moved to Ferrari in his 1st year he started to grow on me and I reasoned that me dislike came from the fact that Lewis is my favorite with Fernando in second. But then came the 2nd year where he seemed to crack slightly with pressure of having a poor season then Baku happened and I was like oh now I remember why I didn't like you very much 1/2
Oh and finally as your amazing at your posts defending Lewis which I really appreciate here's a stat to combat the 'he's had winning cars all of his career' well of all the WC on the grid Lewis is the only 1 to win a race every time he's a race winning car as Seb, Fernando and Kimi have all had team mates who've won races in years they haven't (2014,2004 & 2015 respectively)Ā
First of all that is such an A+ statistic, Iāve never heard it before and itās just amazing tbh.
Iām probably the complete opposite of a lot of Vettel fans who couldnāt stand him when he was at RBR and only started liking him after he moved to Ferrari. After the unbelievable high at the end of 2013 I couldnāt imagine being where I was at the end of 2014 and then of course everything that came after. It wasnāt that the car wasnāt competitive but how heād reacted to it, it wasnāt that Dan had thrashed him but his reaction to it. It wasnāt just that his deal with Ferrari was triggered when Fernando was ousted but how he went about it.
Itās just like this season. Swerving into Lewis was disappointing behavior (it was even disappointing for me and I basically have zero expectations of him) but his reaction to it all was so much worse in my eyes and itās the same with Singapore. Definitely the same in everything to do with how heās reacted to Max since last year.
I try to remind myself that just because there are more Vettel fans than Lewis fans here (and theyāre a lot more vocal) it isnāt a true measure of things and that Lewis or Max donāt need me to defend them because honestly sometimes the shit that gets thrown at them is so beyond ridiculous than even just responding to it feels weird but, idk, I just canāt stand to see it go unansweredĀ ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Lewis just impressed me so much after Baku tbh that I felt like I owed it to him in a way. So calm and so measured and so quietly resolved to just keep going in the face of all the garbage that was being thrown at him after that and before Silverstone as well. All while supplying us with THE SWEETEST BABY PICS EVER.
