What is Edelstein?

Edelstein is a group of UTAUs managed by Cma_Mizki. Most of the character designs are done by Mizki, and so are most, but not all of the voices. From left to right they are Dollce, Root, Clinochlore, Larimar, Celestite, and Resettan (you may remember him from when revolocities used him earlier this month.) I heard of Clinochlore years ago through the Japanese UTAU wiki, and later learned of Larimar when she became a voice for the program Deepvocal. The other 4 were added to the website over the period of a year or so. Recently, 2 of them got voicebank updates, so I’ll be going over them quickly and then writing some more about the UTAUs in general. 

Clinochlore/​クリノクロア

Clinochlore is the oldest UTAU made by Mizki, released in 2016. She is a mature female UTAU named after a gem that’s almost as beautiful as she is! her new voicebank is called Crack and has a slurred visual kei tone, something you don’t often see in female UTAUs. Her other voicebanks are generally softer and more well rounded, but they all have a good standard of quality and are at least 4 pitches.

Notable Usages

Clinochlore’s creator has some covers using her that have a couple thousand views each. All are only on NicoNico as far as I can tell.

Dollce/ドルシェ

Dollce (pronounced like the Italian word Dolce) is one of the Edelstein UTAUs not voiced by Mizki, his voice provider goes by the name Chikuren. He is more recent and was released in 2019 with a simple bipitch VCV. Dollce is a 13 year old boy who loves donuts and pudding. His voice provider is an adult man, despite how his UTAU looks. His newest voicebank is called Tiramisu and has a muffled, gentle tone with a moderate amount of power behind it. It is a 5 pitch VCV.

Conclusion

Clinochlore and Dollce are both superb UTAUs in my opinion, but it was very hard to find usages of them. I really hope some people check them out because they’re very dear to me...I always find it a little hard to introduce people to Japanese UTAUs so I hope I did a good enough job and ask me if you have any questions!
