((Just a little piece I made to keep you guys tied over while I work on the next part of HO&TSM!))
Dolcia the Arcane is the child of Queen Harmonia the Dark and King Octavo the Undaunted and heiress to the throne of Symphonyxia. Inheriting her motherâs playful and curious nature and her fatherâs stubbornness and bravery, Dolcia is a brave and kind soul who never backs down in the face of danger. Dolcia gained her title from her skill in the arcane, one of her biggest successes being the ability to enchant already existing weapons with Symphonyxian magic rather than creating a new weapon from magic. Speaking of which, Dolcia is skilled in both sword fighting and magic, as well as inheriting her parentsâ musical talents. Despite not being able to cast dark magic like her mother, she is still a strong fighter as well as an honorable one. She wonât run from battle, but she wonât kill a person either unless there is no other option. She also has some of her parentsâ spells such as Harmoniaâs Brightest Hymn and the summoning spell for Octavoâs champions.
Dolcia: I made tea.
Revali: I donât want tea.
Dolcia: I didnât make tea for you. This is my tea.
Revali: Then why are you telling me?
Dolcia: Itâs a conversation starter.
Revali: Thatâs a lousy conversation starter.
Dolcia: Oh, is it? Weâre conversing. Checkmate.
~
Impa: What does âtake outâ mean?
Daruk: Food.
Mipha: Dating.
Revali: Murder.
Urbosa: It can be all three if youâre brave enough.
~
Revali: Look, letâs just agree to say âIâm sorryâ on the count of three. 1...2...3.
Link: ...
Revali: ...
Revali: See, now Iâm just disappointed in both of us.
~
Vaati: Love makes people do stupid things.
Krys: I love everything!
Vaati: That explains a lot.
~
Impa: Alright, listen up you little shits.
Impa: Not you, Mipha. Youâre an angel and weâre glad youâre here.
~
Harmonia: How do you know how to kiss? Like who teaches you?
Octavo: Well itâs actually a class, but unfortunately itâs full right now.
Octavo: Would you like me to tutor you?
Cadence: That was smooth.
~
Kohga: Look at the buns on that guy!
A Very Unimpressed Astor: *lying on the floor, covered in hamburger buns*
Sooga: This is the comedy police! The joke's too funny!
Kohga: I'm not going back to jail!
~
Zelda: Rules are made to be followed. Nothing is meant to be broken.
Cadence: Uh, pinatas?
Link: ... (Karate boards.)
Harmonia: Spaghetti when you have a small pot.
Octavo: And rules!
~
Revali: Ah, ready for another fantastic day of being better than Link.
~
Dolcia: I turned out perfectly fine!
Astor: Just this morning, you thought a ghost made your toast.
Dolcia: I DIDNâT PUT THE BREAD IN! YOU DIDNâT PUT THE BREAD IN!
Name: Astia
Race: Symphonyxian/Hylian
Gender: Nonbinary
Occupation: Seer, mage, Timewalker
Powers: Music magic, wind magic (via charm), time magic, divination, levitation
Likes: Music, magic, tea, astronomy
Dislikes: Deku Shrubs, being told what to do, being unable to use magic
Themes: Bright Future - Astiaâs Theme (Owl House Outro)
Tiro Finale! (No Big Deal - Amphibia)
What happens when you cross a Hylian divination mage and Symphonyxian Timewalker? A ball of sass and magic, thatâs what. Astia is the result of the fusion spell used on Dolcia and Astor, gaining the arcane abilities of both mages. Astia has Dolciaâs optimism, energeticness and arcane stamina, and Astorâs strategic tendencies, cockiness, and stubbornness. Astia tends to be overconfident and laid-back but knows when to take a situation seriously. They take pride in their arcane abilities and has a tendency to let their ego get the best of them. The combination of Astorâs divination and Dolciaâs time magic allows Astia to quickly react to incoming attacks and even predict the outcomes of battles before they even begin.
Fun Fact: Their freckles are in the shape of small stars

Themes: Wandering Princess - Dolciaâs Theme (Tide Goes Out - Splatoon)
The Sea of Time (Lapisâ Tower)
Dolcia the Unprecedented (Owl House Theme)
A descendant of Harmonia and Octavo, Dolcia is the current heir to Symphonyxiaâs throne. She doesnât have a âtitleâ yet, (Harmonia the Dark, Soloria the Undaunted, etc), as a title is only bestowed via an enchanted tapestry when a member of the royal family has done something title-worthy. Dolcia is actually old enough to be queen but opted to allow the Symphonyxian Royal Council to watch over the kingdom while she explores the lands outside her home. When Dolcia was young, her parents died while defending the kingdom from a Guardian attack, leaving the council to rule until she was old enough to take the throne. Dolcia travels wherever the wind takes her, trying her hardest to solve any problems that need fixing and maintaining balance. While usually quiet and soft-spoken, Dolcia wonât hesitate to voice her opinion if she feels like itâs crucial or necessary to the situation at hand. Like the members of the Royal Family before her, Dolcia can use music magic alongside wind magic via the wind charm that had been passed down through the family for generations. Passed down alongside it was the enchanted baton gifted to Octavo by Harmonia, which Dolcia can use to summon the four champions if needed. Dolcia also has access to an unnamed type of magic which seems to grant her rapid-fire reflexes, almost able to react to things before they even happen. When questioned about this magic, Dolcia just describes it as âa thing she can doâ before brushing it off. It is known that Dolcia and Astor know each other well as they met soon after Dolcia left her kingdom, but the nature of their relationship is unknown with rumours speculating that they are friends, rivals, or just flat-out enemies. Yet another topic Dolcia is very secretive about.
And while the reason remains unknown, some people describe a âstrange sense of Deja Vuâ when they meet her for the first time...
Hyrule Warriors - Inevitabilis Chapter 1: A Promise
Summary:
Back in the first timeline, Dolcia tells Astor about her unique gift that is time magic as the two start to become closer. Meanwhile, in the second timeline, after being ambushed by Astor, tensions rise in the group as they learn of Dolciaâs connection to Astor. Will their distrust lead to a doomed timeline?

Timeline I, A Hylian village
âHow did today go?â Dolcia asked as Astor closed up his tent.
It had been a week since Dolcia had met Astor. Since then, she had been staying with the seer in his house outside the village and had been studying magic alongside him.
âNot terrible, actually.â Astor replied, âI predicted that a young lady would marry her crush today and she seemed quite pleased. Itâs a good feeling when a positive prediction comes along.â
âI would imagine so!â
The two began walking through the village back towards Astorâs house.
âHave you ever had a prediction that turned out differently?â Dolcia asked.
âVery rarely, but it has happened.â Astor replied, âTime is a very strange thing. My predictions show the most likely outcome based on information I have about the target in question. Even if something is 99.9% likely, that 0.1% is still possible.â
âStrange indeed.â Dolcia agreed as they began to cross a road. Dolcia gasped as her eyes briefly flashed gold before quickly dragging Astor back from the road.
âAgh! Hey, what-?â
Before Astor could finish his exclamation, a runaway cart of cabbages went careening past them and crashed into a wall.
âIâm so sorry!â A merchant came running down the road after it, âI turned around for one second and my cart started rolling down the hill. Are you two alright?â
âUhâŚyes, weâre okay.â Astor replied, a tad amazed and confused, âDo you need help?â
âNo, no, itâs fine. It looks like the damage wasnât major. Iâll be on the move in no time. Thank you for the offer though!â
The merchant quickly hurried off to his cart as Astor turned to Dolcia, âHowâŚhow did you know that was going to happenâŚ?â
âYou may or may not be the only mage who dabbles with time.â Dolcia winked before motioning down the road towards Astorâs house.
 ~
 âTimewalker?â
Dolcia nodded as the two sat in Astorâs study, âEvery century or so, one member of the Symphonyxian royal family is born with a rare form of magic. Queen Dolcia the Dark was born with the ability to safely cast dark magic safely, and I was born with time magic. Those who can use time magic are called Timewalkers; mages blessed by the deity of time, Tutti. We were given that name due to our ability to jump through timelines if we die before weâre meant to. I still havenât mastered all my abilities yet but as of now, I can react to things before they happen and occasionally receive my own glimpses into the future. I tend to keep it a secret due to the councilâs fear that some may want to exploit it for their own gain.â
âI seeâŚâ Astor muttered, âButâŚwhy tell me then?â
âWellâŚI trust you.â Dolcia smiled, âEver since my parents died, I didnât have many friendsâŚokay, I didnât have any friends. Youâre my first. And Iâm grateful for that.â
Astorâs eyes widened in surprise but was distracted as the strands of hair fell in front of his eye again.
âI canât get the damned things to sit stillâŚâ Astor grumbled as he tried to push them behind his ear.
âHang on, I have an idea.â Dolcia took a metal clasp from the studyâs desk, leaned over to Astor, and began fiddling with the hair strands.
âE-er, Dolcia?â Astor stuttered, blushing slightly at the sudden closeness between him and Dolcia.
âGimme a sec, Iâm almost done.â Dolcia stuck out her tongue impishly as she braided the hair strands together, âAaandâŚdone! Ta-dah!â
Dolcia leaned back to admire her handiwork. She had turned the strands into two separate braids; one falling straight down, and the other looping towards the back of his head.
âThere we go! No more bothersome bangs.â Dolcia smiled proudly as Astor picked up his desk mirror to view the braids.
âHuhâŚthis isnât half bad.â He muttered, impressed.
âOf course itâs great! I had a vision that Iâd have mad hair-styling skills!â Dolcia stated dramatically. This was enough to earn a full laugh out of Astor, prompting Dolcia to join in.
âY-youâre ridiculous!â Astor chuckled.
âRidiculously awesome!â Dolcia countered.
Astor sighed as he recovered from the laughing fit, âHey, Dolcia?â
âYeah?â
âThank you. Admittedly, youâreâŚyouâre my first friend too.â
âItâs my honour.â

 Timeline II, Korok Forest
âWhat were those clones?â Zelda asked as the group ran through the forest.
âI donât know. Iâve never seen magic like that before.â Dolcia replied.
âNo match for the real thing, obviously.â Revali added.
As opposed to the first timeline where Dolcia mainly aided the group from Hyrule Castle after meeting them for the first time, Dolcia managed to convince Zelda to have her tag along. She decided it was best to not reveal her time abilities to the group and hoped that she could find Astor before he joined Calamity Ganon.
As the group arrived at the resting place of the fabled Master Sword, Link raised his hand, signalling for the group to stop.
âLink? Whatâs-â Dolcia began but cut herself off with a gasp as her eyes followed Linkâs.
Standing at the shrine was a hooded figure in dark purple robes with a glowing orb floating in his hand. It emitted a purple light as the hollows of the four pilots reappeared. They dashed towards Link who tried to fight back, but they were too fast and would teleport away before Link could land a blow.
Dolcia turned to yell toward the figure, âHey! What do you think youâre-?!â
Dolcia froze. She had gotten a good look at the figureâs face as they lifted it to glare at her.
âAâŚAstorâŚ?â Dolcia stuttered in a mix of fear, shock, and disbelief.
âYou know this mage?â Urbosa asked.
Before Dolcia could reply, Link was thrown backwards into the shrine, his broken sword lying beside him.
âLink!â Zelda exclaimed.
Astor slowly raised a finger towards Zelda with a malicious glint in his eye, âKill her.â
âAstor, no!!â Dolcia jumped in front of Zelda alongside the other pilots to defend Zelda as the hollows charged toward them.
Suddenly, a bright light filled the area as the hollows began to fade away. Behind Link, the Master Sword began to glow brightly.
âWhat?!â Astor gasped as he turned to face Link, who had begun to lift the Master Sword from its pedestal. With a mighty tug, the blade came free from its stone binding as Link raised it high before pointing it towards Astor. The seer cursed under his breath as he summoned more of the hollows to fight Link. The Master Sword, however, made quick work of them, slicing through as if they were made of butter.
Astor glared at Link, âFine. I will end you myself, you nuisance! Your power is mine for the taking.â
Astor fired a blast of the strange magic at Link, but it was shot off course by a blast of golden magic. Astor glared at its source: Dolcia, who was holding her golden baton.
âAstor, what are you doing?!â Dolcia demanded.
âWhat I must to ensure the Calamity ensues!â Astor shot back as he began firing blasts towards Dolcia, who parried them away by firing blasts of her own. They were by no means more powerful than Astorâs but bought enough time for Link to attack from behind, the two performing a pincer manoeuvre on Astor as the pilots took care of any hollows he summoned.
âThat swordâŚIt is too powerfulâŚâ Astor cursed. He shot one last glare towards Dolcia â his eyes cold and unfeeling â before disappearing in a flash of magic.
As Zelda and Link conversed with the Great Deku Tree, Dolcia was lost in her thoughts.
âHe was allied with Calamity Ganon this earlyâŚ? This is badâŚif I can only be sent back a month before my death, then that means I canât prevent him from joining Ganon. But why would he even join Ganon in the first place? And those eyesâŚthat thing on his foreheadâŚheâs not acting like himself at allâŚAstor, what happened to youâŚ?â
As the Great Deku Tree fell back into slumber, Dolcia turned to leave only to be greeted by Revaliâs bow aimed inches from her face, âG-gyah!!â
âRevali?! What are you-?â Zelda exclaimed as Revali glared at Dolcia.
âI knew I had a reason to be suspicious of you.â Revaliâs eyes narrowed as Dolcia shakingly took a step back.
âRevali, what do you think youâre doing?â Urbosa demanded.
âDoes no one else here find it a little odd that your ânew friendâ seemed very familiar with the mage who tried to kill us?â
âW-wait! I can explain-â Dolcia stuttered.
âExplain what? That youâre secretly working to bring about the Calamity? That youâre trying to take us down from the inside?â
âWaah! Bird guy is scary when heâs angry!â Hestu cried as he attempted to hide behind DarukâŚthe key word being attempted as he was much taller than the Goron.
âRevali, thatâs enough.â Zelda placed a hand on Revaliâs bow, lowering it gently, âI donât know how or why Dolcia knows that mage, but now is not the time to be brash. For now, letâs return to the castle where itâs safer. Dolcia can explain herself there.â
âThe princess is right.â Impa added, âWeâre all a little on edge from⌠whatever those were. Iâm sure once weâve cleared our heads, things will make sense.â
Revali glared at Dolcia before fully lowering his bow and walking off.
âAre you alright, miss Dolcia?â Mipha asked.
âIâŚIâm okayâŚâ Dolcia replied, âA little shaken, thatâs all. Iâll feel better when we get back home.â
âI hopeâŚâ
 ~
 Hyrule Castle
Dolcia sat uncomfortably between Daruk, Hestu and Mipha as the rest of the group had an intense discussion about Dolciaâs trustworthiness. Dolcia kept opening her mouth to get a word in but would be cut off by someone else talking, mostly by Revali.
âIâm telling you, we canât trust her!â Revali retorted.
Everyone covered their ears as the small white guardian let out a sharp whistle.
âBeep bewoop!â The guardian pointed at Dolcia as it beeped aggressively at Dolcia.
âI think it wants us to let Dolcia speak.â Impa said as the guardian scuttled over to Dolcia.
âThank you, little friend.â Dolcia gave a small smile before addressing the rest of the group, âI know you have your suspicions of me, but Iâm not trying to bring the Calamity. Astor was a close friend of mine I met about a year ago, back when I first arrived in Hyrule. But a few months after I met him, I received a vision and left to investigate. When I returned a few weeks later, he was gone, and nobody knew where he went. I donât know why he would try to bring about the CalamityâŚheâs never acted like this before. I know itâs hard to believe, but I swear Iâd never do anything to hurt you guys!â
The group was silent for a moment before Zelda spoke, âI believe her.â
Everyone turned to the princess with surprised expressions as Zelda continued, âI donât think Dolciaâs working against us. Sheâs done nothing to hinder us thus far and seemed just as shocked to see Astor as the rest of us.â Zelda then turned to Dolcia, âI donât know why your friend is trying to bring about the Calamity, but we wonât allow it to happen. And if possible, weâll get to the bottom of this and find out why heâs acting this way.â
Dolcia breathed a sigh of relief as she smiled, âThank you, princess.â
âHow asinineâŚâ Revali muttered, âFine. But if you do anything remotely shifty, I wonât hesitate to end you on the spot. Understood.â
Dolcia nodded.
Zelda gave Dolcia a warm smile, giving her hope that maybe things would work out after all.
 ~
A few weeks later, Hyrule Castle
âThis humiliationâŚcannot be my destiny. It cannot be!â
Astor glared at the heroes before him with frenzied rage in his eyes, âHear me, Calamity Ganon!â
Dolciaâs eyes widened in horror, the situation all too familiar to her.
âNoâŚâ
âItâs time for you to devour theseâŚtheseâŚâ
Astor stared at his extended arm in horror as it slowly became infected with Malice.
âNo, no, no, no, no!!!â
Dolcia darted for Astor and pushed him away from Harbinger Ganon in an attempt to distance him from the malice. The strange headpiece fell from his forehead as the two hit the ground, but the Malice continued to spread. Dolcia tried to use a healing spell on it in an attempt to slow it down at least, but nothing seemed to work.
âNoâŚno, no, please no!â Dolcia cried, panic filling her voice.
âDolâŚcia...â Astor choked, his body searing with pain from the Malice, âYour powerâŚpleaseâŚgo backâŚstop meâŚstop me from beingâŚbeing a foolâŚplease.â Astor looked up at Dolcia pleadingly as he begged, barely managing to get the words out.
âAstorâŚIâŚI will. I promiseâŚâ
âDolcia, watch-!â
Dolcia looked up just in time to see a beam of Malice come flying at her.
 ~
Timeline Null, The Sea of Time
Dolcia gasped as she sat up, clutching her chest as she could still feel lingering pain from the Malice.
âTake deep breaths.â Tutti lay beside Dolcia as they rubbed her back with their tail soothingly. Once Dolcia had caught her breath, Tuttiâs expression saddened, âTragedy againâŚâ
Dolcia nodded.
âTake your time.â Tutti reassured, âThereâs no need to rush into the next shard immediately. Take as long as you need to clear your head.â
âThank youâŚâ Dolcia replied as she tried to calm her breathing. She looked up at the shards floating around her. She noticed one shard â the shard she had entered before â was no longer a shining blue, but a dull grey.
âShards youâve entered and died in will turn grey,â Tutti explained, following Dolciaâs gaze, âIndicating you cannot return to that timeline.â
Dolcia nodded in understanding before looking out at the countless shards still shining before her.
âIâll see this though, AstorâŚI promiseâŚâ
