I think the thing that frustrates me the most is that people are so quick to give Vrel the benefit of the doubt, as if hes some hapless bystander and not the main creator of the game, regularly going out of his way to protect Puri. Hes literally friends with the guy. Vrel has been and probably will always be Puris spineless enabler. "why isnt Vrel doing anything?" Because he doesnt care, next question.

Theyre literally pulling a good cop, bad cop routine and whats even more embarrassing is that it works. I see soooo many people take both his and puris statements at face value, or feeling bad for the guy. This isnt some: you kick Puri out and everything will be sunshine and rainbows situation - it never is. We wouldnt have this problem to begin with otherwise.

Vrel repeatedly going "dont be mean to puri" was enough to show me that this guy ain’t shit. didn’t think he was shit the first time I played the game (10% skin color slider being the default. More blonde hair shades than brown, no black or dark brown eyes, the weird skin color options, barely any kinky/curly hair) but that has solidified further with every new instance of rancid bullshit he lets slide.

You seriously think Vrel isnt aware of Puri dropping the N-word, slurs and other racist or homophobic shit in a public server??? (Which has been conveniently scrubbed clean of the multiple instances where Puri threw around the n-word. how curious)

Puri has openly been racist, transphobic and homophobic and (and god knows what else. This guy seems to pride himself on collectiong bigotry flavors like pokemon. Not surprising considering hes literally named PurityGuy) is now openly dabbling in neo-nazi sentiments and holocaust denial.

This has always been going on and will continue to go on because Vrel doesnt care. Vrel and the mods in general have repeatedly decided to not take a stance on things, which is statement enough. Hands them this:

Edit: I have been informed that Sam isn't that good of a boss :(. Apologies, I didn't know it and I took their kindness to the PC at face value and thought they were an actual good or okay dude. Thanks to everyone who brought it up :) I'll rewrite this ramble to be more accurate.

I feel like a good job for Robin to have would be at the Cafe as a waiter/waitress or atleast it the most similar to their Lemonade/Hot chocolate stand.

Imagine being work buddies with them :)

Robin can work there after schools on the weekdays and still sell lemonade on the weekends.

You could work as a chef and Robin working as a waiter/waitress, or both of them working as waiters/waitresses.

If you both work at the cafe, instead of walking home with them you can both walk towards the cafe. Or if you want to walk home with them at the orphanage, they can walk you home before heading out to the cafe.

There would be less times and chances to interact with them in their room, but what if working there while they're working could increase their love.

Maybe it could be an arc, like once you take on their debt Robin would feel like they'd need to help out some way or some other reason. They can then like confide with you about finding a job. Then you can have like the option to either encourage them or discourage them (Telling them you can handle the debt etc etc).

If you don't work there, you could tell them about the Help Wanted sign on cliff street and suggest it to them.

I just think it'd be cool to be work Buddies with Robin lol

So it turns out that if you were to stand up to customers, you'd lose points with Sam. What if that happens to Robin, you'd have like a choice to defend them or not. Lose affection with Sam or have Robin's trauma increase due to being harassed like that if they have the trauma stat. If they don't then I guess lower confidence? Maybe if Robin has high confidence, I forgot the word for it, but I guess effectively or professionally divert the thing the customers do.

Idk it just kinda crazy to me how many people are quick to disregard Robin, or reduce them to some kind of goody two shoes deadbeat when everyone's favorite babygirl Whitney (also Sydney, and to a lesser extent Kylar) isnt particularly useful either and actively pimps you out for money (which im not arguing to not be the case) Ig its just curious to me how Whitney can get away with repeatedly putting you in danger when Robins worst offense is - Checks notes - being another impoverished orphan whos depressed.

smth smth capitalism is deeply ingrained in all of us and primes us to only value "usefulness". This applies to everything - from plants, animals, people, etc. Things only have worth and are allowed to exist without active indifference, negligence or downright disdain, when it has a use to us humans or can deliver some kind of profit.
