There was definitely something to LĂșcio that made Angela want to smile, instantly caught up in his positive energy. She had no qualms with shaking his hand, looking him over with amusement. However, skipping out on paperwork wasnât exactly the kind of standard that Overwatch as settingâeven if the man seemed like he meant no harm. Before she could scold him on that point, LĂșcioâs words made her pause. It wasnât often that Angela could see herself in her colleagues, maybe most akin to Winston and yet not very similar to him at all. LĂșcio took her thoughts back to when she had first joined Overwatch, skeptical and critical. Sheâd never backed down from voicing her issues with the organisation, somewhat pleased that it seemed there was still a generation of like-minded people. Even if Angela had become fond of the man in a number of minutes, she still knew the boundaries of what she could or couldnât say. It wasnât professional to discuss her honest thoughts with a man who wasnât technically even enlisted yet, leaving Angela to purse her lips together as she carefully picked her next words.
âBlackwatch certainly existed, yesâbut it was disbanded in the fall of Overwatch. Iâm afraid I couldnât tell you much about it as there wasnât much reason for me to be involved with it.â While that wasnât strictly true, Angela also didnât see any reason to explain the complicated relationship sheâd had with Gabriel. She certainly had her own ideas about what Blackwatch had been doing, pieced together by the talks theyâd had and the information she knew in hindsight, but that was simply speculation. More than that, the doctor wasnât exactly desperate to inform others of her friendship with Gabriel either. âThere were certainly rumours but.. Â Either way, itâs not active now. I doubt it will be ever again.â It was difficult to stop her voice from becoming too strained, but Angela tried not to let her own personal bias bleed through too much.
LĂșcio was far from contented with the confirmation that the hero group he idolized had side dealings in terrorism. He was however, satisfied with Dr. Zieglerâs honest answers, having expected most agents to deny Blackwatch existed or talk around the question. âI shouldâa figured you didnât much about it. I mean if you did know, thereâs no way you wouldâve let that kind of shit slide.â Heâd sensed a hint of regret in her voice as she spoke, likely stemming from the fact that she hadnât know to stop it back then.âBut what about Strike-Commander Morrison, as the leader of Overwatch he had to have known, right?â After bringing up Morrison, LĂșcio wondered if he made a mistake. He didnât know how well the two agents knew each other, but regardless most people donât like to talk about their dead friends. âActually, I guess it doesnât really matter what he knew.â It wasnât as though LĂșcio could talk to him about it.
Blackwatch existed but was long gone now. It seemed pointless to be upset with Overwatch for something it did in the past, especially as this new Overwatch wasnât necessarily the Overwatch of the past. âSo uh, thanks for beinâ real with me. I think Iâll stick around here. Anyway Iâve been keepinâ âem waiting for my autograph long enough, I better get down there before they write a bad review.â Gathering his things LĂșcio made his way back to the door
