â   your heartbeat --- .   â   he breathed, fingertips gently pressed against the otherâs chest.  it was loud.  human hearts always were.  loud, annoying things.  your own personal ticking time bomb.  everyone had one, everyoneâs was bound to stop eventually.  sitting like this, cross legged on his bed, facing each other --- hajimeâs heartbeat was the only sound in the room.  nagitoâs was likely just as loud, but he couldnât hear it over his focus on the other.  fingers withdrew, hand curling into a lose fist that he then held against his chest.  thump, thump, ba-thump.  thump, thump, ba-thump.  it was so obvious, so prominent.  such an annoying thing, the heart.  such a wonderful mess of pieces, directing so much emotion with simple noise.  emotion that didnât belong to it.  emotion he wasnât supposed to feel.  eyes looked up at hajime, trying to make sense of the annoying sound reverberating through his chest.   â   why is it so loud, hinata-kun ?  itâs not supposed to be this loud, is it ?   â
his voice may be laced with confusion, but the smile on his face tells another story.
