Decided the dog backpack is easier (also lighter), so have re packed again. OK, guys I'm outa here, until after Christmas. Will check in sporadically, but you know how you buy prepaid data for abroad, and it eats up 1G a day? I don't use 1G in a whole month at home...
After four days of running around taking care of a million and one things, my petey (mom's neglected dog) is rescued and sent off to his foster family for four months while I wait out immigration. And I'm crouched in the corner of a train station in a city I don't know bawling my eyes out on Christmas eve.
Will be back home in 2 days. Rescue mission over for now.

That's no carry-on luggage. It's a dog carrier. With old towels and doggo 's spare doggy stuff. My gym bag fit inside too, though all my stuff will smell like basement. Oh well.
