After a long round with Harken, the civilians were inside the bunker, clearly the previous round took a toll on them since most of them were sleeping. Caretaker however wasn’t. Most of the civilians died last round, even though they appear right back in the bunker, Caretaker couldn’t help but feel guilty, causing them to fall into a spiral of depression, the only time they’d come out of their bed is when a round started. One day LoveShot decided to check up on them. They slowly opened the door

“Caretaker? You doing okay there?”

LoveShot was met with silence after she said that. They walked up to Caretaker’s bed and slowly unwrapped the cover revealing a tear stained, glossy eyed Caretaker. Their hat was across the room and they had dark circles underneath their eyes with their hair all messy

“Oh dear… what’s happened?” They said, a hint of worry in their tone.

“…LoveShot? Do you feel like I’ve failed you guys…?”

“And why would I think that?” They asked “It’s both our duties to heal the others!”

“But.. I was too late to heal anyone and-“

They got cut off as LoveShot shushed them

“Hey, look at me. Everyone’s still here aren’t they?”

“Yeah..b-but-“

“But nothing! You did your duty and you did it good!” They sat on the foot of the bed “Cmere.”

Caretaker reluctantly scooted over to the other and hugged them. LoveShot returned the hug, gently tracing circles on Caretakers back. They tried to stifle their giggles but a few slipped out

“Oh? What was that?”

Caretaker could feel their face getting warmer by the second “N-Nothing just forget it!”

A sly smirk formed on their face “I think I heard a little giggle!”

“No you didn’t! I- ugh! Shut up!” They buried their head into the others chest

LoveShot gently squeezed Caretakers side earning a squeak out of the smaller one.

“Ooh? Is this a little tickle button?”

They started gently scratching at Caretakers sides

“Eee! Ahaha! Wahait! Wait! Ehehehe! Dohont!”

“Don’t? Don’t what? Don’t stop? Ya got it!”

“Ehehehehe! That’s nahawt what I meahant! Jerk!”

“Jerk? Oh now you’re gonna get it!”

They slightly lifted Caretakers shirt just enough to reveal their midriff

“Nonono! Wait-“

Before they could finish, LoveShot blew a raspberry on their stomach “EEHEHEEK! AHAHAHAHA! L- LOHOV- AHAHAHA!” They tried to speak but fell back into a fit of giggles and squeaks

“Aww! Look how cute you are! Tickletickletickletickle!” They teased

Caretakers face somehow got even redder, they squealed from the teasing and giggled even harder

“BWHAAHAHAHA! CUHUT IT OHOUT!”

“Cut what out? I’m not doing anything!”

“YEHES YOU AHARE! EHEHEHE!”

They held up their arms and began to gently scritch at their underarms

“EHEHEHEEE! NOHOHO! LOVES-SHOT EHEHEE!”

“Yesss?”

“PLEAHASE! IM HAPPY! IM HAHAPPY!”

“Reaallly?”

“YEHES! JUHUST STAHAWP!”

They stopped and wrapped their arms around the breathless Caretaker

“*huff* I hahate you!”

“I love you too.”
