"yes!” britta’s hand came up in front of her, pointing directly at the doctor with an overwhelming agreement to what had been said. “you’re so right, talk about girl power.” if there was anything britta could stand up for, it was that. even if it was in regard to the strange blue box and the options that were being put to her. “this isn’t just some weird costume of inspector spacetime though, is it? because i have enough of that with troy and abed, so if this is just a really well painted box then this lady might have to change her mind again.”

          ‘ "flight or fight" implies a permanent choice. but "flight" often just means putting the fight off to another day. ‘

                            As much as she might want to try and deny it, her wife is right, she is absolutely correct and River has no intentions of letting her know that. Hiding the damage had become a habit, helping her to build the walls up around her, to keep everyone out, and she was fine with that, perfectly fine, some things were her burden to bear and just hers. Granted, it’s not as though if her wife knows time itself is going to crumble, it probably wouldn’t affect much at all, but River felt like she was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and she doesn’t know how to put it down, let alone how to let The Doctor in.
