“I think I have a problem” Vii held the hot mug of tea between her hands. Flynn and Kira sat at the table with her, Lora besides her. 

“Yeah, it’s called ‘Doc’.” 

Flynn muffled his laughter, Lora looked over to Kira

“What?! I’m right and I should say it. The man looks like he was in an illicit holo video.”

“The fact that you know this, concerns me.”  Lora frowned 

“Hey, its not me.” Kira denied 

“Not me!!” Flynn threw his hands up, “I dont even own a holo.” 

“That’s a lie and you know it.” Kira laughed, poking fun at him. 

Doc was walking back with Breccan with drinks and food. He hung back a little.

“I THINK I’M IN LOVE--” Vii almost yelled over her friends. 

things you said under the stars and in the grass

It had cooled off, the clear sky made it easier to see the stars, even though they spent much of the last, how ever many years’ in them. It was nice to look and not worry, appropriate what you had while you had a moment to think. 

“Did you, ever plan on all of this?” DVii asked as they laid down to watch the stars.

“What? Taking down the biggest bad guy in history? Absolutely not” 

“No  I mean… us?”

Doc was silent for a while, collecting his words. “No,” he replied, “If anything I spent years preventing myself from falling in love. Too much hassle, too much of everything really. But then I met you.” 

He scooped her up into his harms, holding her close, “I never thought it would be like this. But now? I wouldn’t have it any other way.” He kissed her gently on the lips.

He was always so warm, his hands where rough, but nice? A strange feeling, good never the less.

She missed his weight on her. It felt like everything was worth it.

She’d missed his mustache, the way it tickled her lips when she kissed him, the grey streaks in it.

Grey streaks? 

She noticed his grey hair, she almost laughed. 

“W-what?” He pulled back, his voice strained, but loving. 

“I just noticed, you look more ... distinguished” She tried to hide her smile. He was always a little cocky, she didn’t want it sound like she was insulting him, she quiet liked it.

Doc’s eye’s widened. She may have wounded his pride.

“I finally got to make out with you for the first time in years, and you wound me like this?” Doc being over-dramatic, she really missed it.

“I think it looks good!” She put his hands on his face, “I’m just... shocked. I didn’t know you could look even better.” She ran has hands through his hair. 

Doc cocked an eyebrow, “Good save there.” He smiled
