Published on and off since 1994, Dan Brereton's NOCTURNALS is maybe best described as a horror-themed action-adventure comic for adults who wish they had an excuse to dress up like MONSTER HIGH characters year-round, about a group of mostly heroic monsters (led by Doc Horror, Halloween Girl's dad) who battle various ghouls and goblins and other things that go bump in the night.

Nocturnals is a comic book created by Dan Brereton which debuted as a six-part limited series in 1994–1995.
It was kind of a Halloween version of X-Men. Nocturnals follows Doc Horror and his daughter Evening (Eve for short) a.k.a Halloween Girl in Pacific City, a fictional California town. Apparently it has been brought back via a Kickstarter, I need to start reading them again!
