DnD princess and her knight

I did it. After two whole months and exactly 39 hours and 42 minutes of painting, I finally finished what feels like my opus magnum. My take on La Belle Dame Sans Merci, but with a twist. Instead of the original figures, I painted my own DnD characters.

Meet Silvana, my summer Eladrin princess, and Richard, her knight. Their love is forbidden, hidden away from the world, but it still shines brighter than anything else. That’s what I wanted to capture; the quiet intensity, the devotion in their eyes, that feeling of “it’s us against everything.”

And if you look closely… there’s a little hippogriff in the background, because the whole campaign started with hipogriff who was just the start of the challenges, the party had to encounter. But honestly? What matters here is just those two, so deeply in love with each other, yet never speaking of it nor acting on it.

This piece is full of details, feelings and way too many hours of me screaming at Procreate layers. But it’s done. And I’m so proud
