Last 19th of August, I tried undergoing examination and interview on a Travel Agency or a company which caters more on Travel and Leisure, since I wasn’t able to be hired as Teacher from the schools where I tried applying in. The company is originally located inside Clark Free Port Zone, inside Philexcel Business Center.

That time, I brought with me my updated Curriculum Vitae (with my Grad Pic pasted on it, and I was wearing my favorite Violet Long Sleeves and Gray pants. I was afraid to go that time, just because it will be my first time applying on a company all by myself. Thank you to my fighting spirit for motivating me to still undergo on the said process.

When I got inside, the guard told me to leave my bag and proceed to the Reception area, so I decided to bring my phone with me in case of emergency or good news on the results. Moving on to Reception Area, the guard guided me the way going there, and I saw one woman waiting also to be called for the examinations and interview. Because I knew that I am friendly, I was able to go on a talk with her, actually her name is Janice Mendoza (A previous agent to different well known Call Center Companies/BPO).

After lots of minutes waiting, there are also lots of people going inside the Reception. On my last count, we are 25 Applicants all-in-all who will undergo the Employment process.

After how many minutes of waiting again, Ms. Anne, the Assistant HR called us to go inside the room to have our Examination. We sat on our designated seats, and she started giving our questionnaires and answer sheet. Thank you for my friend who is also working on the same company, she was able to gossip some sort of leeks about the examination. I was able to have my review a day before the said date of Examination and Interview. Just Imagine, I memorized lots of Countries and their corresponding Capitals, and also keeping on mind the 7 Continents of the World. (I need to read some of my old books just to refresh everything, Lol). I end answering the exams with my other co-examinee after 1 hour and a half, and we’re advised by the Assistant HR to go back to the Reception and wait for the result. Luckily, I passed.

Going to the next process of Examination which is Group Dynamics. We we’re group into two. That time, Janice is also my group mate. That examination mandated us to talk every time, just because my friend told me to talk and talk so that I can pass the activity. We are given one paper and we need to answer that particular question within the 30 minutes. Time ended, and were done. We are advised again to back to Reception, and told us not to say anything about the activity. Our mouth was shut that time in order for us to have the advantage in moving up on the next stage of the process. The next group is done, and all of us are waiting for the last process which is the final interview.

That time, Ms. Anne, is started calling each names to tell the results of our examinations. Imagine, that time, we are all 25 applicants, 5 of us left for the final interview. On my end, I said “Yes, this is it. Last nalang, makakapasok na ako at mag-uuwi na ako ng contract.” I have this strong feeling that time that I will be accepted. I went there at exactly 9:00 in the morning, and I have waited for the last Interview until 7:30 in the evening. Almost 8 hours of waiting.

Here are we now, the last interview, and I am waiting for my turn. My name was called, and I had my interview with our Operations Manager, who is a fat women from Teleperformance, Expedia Account. (I presume she is really good.) It took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish my interview, and its just like we’re chit chatting. I thought I failed, but after that interview, I was asked to go with the Assistant HR to get my White Envelope. Tada! I passed those 3 hard process of the Employment, and I’m bringing home an Envelope of my Success. It states there that I will be starting on August 23 under Dubai Baggage Services, and we are the Pilot Batch of the said account. Thankfully, all of us 5 applicants who left that time are all accepted for the position.
