It was mostly obscured my the huge steam plume but it cleared up just long enough to snap this video. Soooooooo the Singapore zoo was fantastic. I've been to a lot of zoos and I think it's the best I've seen, which isn't too surprising as it's often ranked as one of the world's best. I would rank San Diego as second (maybe a distant second?). The uniqueness of this zoo is in the enclosures--they are all extremely large and there are very few walls between the visitors and the animals. The orangutan enclosure is essentially open with only moats separating the animals from the path. This made it easier to see the animals but it also seemed to make them more active. Most zoo trips involve seeing a lot of sleeping animals--not so here! Also there were so many animals feedings throughout the day--like every 15 minutes you could see a different animal get fed.
