Totally forgot Jack immediately calls Barbossa daddy as soon as he figures out Carina is his daughter. Absolutely unhinged mess of a movie.

Because Iβm a crazy person I overanalyze things. But poseidonβs tomb was guarded by the stars and precious gems. Precious metals and stones fall under Hades domain and the sky is Zeus'. They worked together to ensure their brother had a proper resting place.

Literallyyyyy everybody knows this. Yet another way DMTNT made their just wallowing off-screen the most lazy character assassination for both of them tbqh.
And you know what? He kept his ship submarined right off the shore of her house. For what? To look up at the surface longingly like a little mermaid for no reason? Naaaaaa--if I HAVE to accept DMTNT as part of the canon, I'm gonna pretend they were just happy at the end 'cause he got out of the water, and they can age together again--he won't outlive her. In ACTUALITY she was taking little frequent boat trips out there literally all the time. Sure the movie says the Dutchman will White Blood Cell her if she walks aboard it for some reason, but there's no reason she couldn't just roll up with her own floating cabin and call him over for a "parley."

That whole AU as a concept doesn't work anyway because the sea widow doesn't blame Jack for her husband's death, that's the excuse she uses/a delusion. She's angry that he knows the truth (which is that she killed (and ate) her own children, there is no husband.) I know we've all collectively decided to ignore the last two movies, but quick question:
shouldn't murtogg and mullroy be dead in dmtnt? In ost barbossa tells jack what happened to the pearl and that he's the only survivor (that's why we never see pintel and ragetti again) but then in the following movie mullroy and murtogg are once again pirates on barbossa's ship. How is that possible? Have I totally deleted something from my memory or is this another thing to add on the already endless list of all the mistakes in dmtnt???
