it makes me so mad when people make dl!grian out to be abusive or neglectful of scar, despite being one of the better soulmate pairs in the server. of course, I'm not saying their the best, but they're better than cleo+martin and scott+pearl. sure, he had his secret soulmate thing with bigb, but that was it. even then, it always seemed more of an alliance/friendship, instead of a "replacement soulmate". grian proved multiple times that he did about scar, saying he saw red and almost went to kill bigb and ren himself, despite knowing the consequences at the time. to add onto that, he specifically said that in a way that framed his anger wasn't towards him dying, but scar dying. when he actually does kill them, yes, he wasnt thinking about it at the time, but he didnt seem as distraught as he was compared to scar's third life and double life deaths. I say being distraught by his double life deaths with a hint of salt, because although it's clear he cares for scar, he'd obviously still be upset by his own death. grian goes as far to say he cant stop smiling, still cheering even after he's realized the consequences of his own actions, proving that it was less than likely he favored bigb over his own soulmate, though, again, take that with a hint of salt.
