Man I’m telling you, I started out in 1997 where it took a lot of practice and dedication, where other Djs weren’t so helpful and it was all about vinyls and actually beat matching and hoping the the needles didn’t skip because your record might be a little scratch. Learning on a belt drive turntable with my boy @djflex661 or waiting for @slice1200 to leave the house and go in the garage and turn on all his stuff trying to mimic everything that him and @djxray909 will do. Now a days it seems like anyone could be a dj without actually really putting in the work, I mean don’t get me wrong I like today’s technology it makes it really simple to learn but that’s just it everyone can be a dj now, and a lot of new Djs will do a 4hrs gig for next to nothing with a bar tab are a wedding for 20 an hour, believe me they are out there. Are use bad YouTube videos and convert them to mp3 and have bad audio and blow out the speakers. We all know there’s levels to this game and I believe that all new Djs should learn on vinyls and a turntable before jumping on a laptop and a controller so they can appreciate the art and the real beauty about djing.
