This is by far my favorite LB song, and I've been a fan since 1999. Melancholy, anger, disappointment and sorrow in its best form. Sam, thank you for this bass intro, it will echo in my mind and heart forever. DJ Lethal's parts in this song are crucial to the goosebumps I have every time I listen to it, absolutely brilliant. Wes bringing this melodic and eerie guitar sound, mind=blown. Otto is killing it on the drums! Fred delivers these sincere and raw lyrics about being fed up with dishonesty, manipulation and you can feel the emotional exhaustion… My favorite part is " But you might need my hand when falling in your hole / Your disposition I'll remember when I'm letting go of you ", although the break is also a sacred experience - " You make believe / That nothing is wrong until you're cryin' / And you make believe / That life is so long until you're dyin' ". Sometimes I cannot hold back the tears while listening to it. This performance is also one of their best ever. I wish they played Re-Arranged in full, 'cause now they always cut it after "…dying on me". Also, "You think that everybody is the same, I don't think that anybody is like you" - I absolutely love that line. Thank you LB, my life would have not been the same if I had never borrowed the Significant Other CD from my friend in elementary school. RIP Sam I Am, my first favorite bass player. 😢
