Skywarp was jerked awake by searing pain and a feeling of nameless terror rushing across the Trinebond.
It was several minutes before he managed to orient himself, and even longer before he managed to push [what is going on what is happening where are you let me help] back across the bond. Thundercracker’s similar efforts meant that Starscream was the Trinemate in distress, and Skywarp felt himself begin to panic slightly. Cybertron was too far away–
A wave of [do not come do not call close the bond look away] crashed over him immediately before the Trinebond suddenly narrowed and dulled, and Skywarp felt himself growing hysterical. The connection was there, so Starscream was still alive, but even with the bond dampened to almost nothing, Skywarp was doubled over and retching slightly from the agony filtering through.
[let us help–]
[the War is over by Primus they may have me but they are not having my Trine] and utter defiance bled through to Skywarp, and he choked as he realised the terror was not so nameless.
The DJD had finally made their way to Cybertron.
Fists clenched so tightly that his claws bit at his palms, Skywarp sought for something – anything – he could do to help, to save his Wing Leader. He cried and screamed until his vents were thick with coolant and his voicebox was ragged and sparking as he frantically tried to get his fickle transwarp drive to obey him, to make just one of the thousands of jumps necessary to reach Cybertron. But he only remained curled on the floor, sobbing as Starscream stubbornly closed the bond more and more, until at last there came an exhausted and surprised little [!] just as it shattered completely.
