yeah the magic in movies is always awesome, especially magic tricks. tbh prestige knocked me down because it was mysterious all the time. now you see me was rather predictable but to the last min i was really hoping for aliens and stuff xd
i suppose aliens would have been cooler and yes probably less predictable but i wouldn't be satisfied with that because it wouldn't be logical! :D even if it's a magic movie those tricks are somehow realistic (i guess?) and their purpose has to be logical .-. aw man i'm a sucker when it comes to logic. that's what i love about the prestige. the audience doesn't know how the trick works until the very end. we are deceived as much as robert angier is by alfred borden. but in the end it makes totally sense as much as it didn't seem in the beginning. in now you see me i was eventually confused because it didn't make sense argh .-. why would hE DO THAT FOR ALL THOSE YEARS WHY

yeah the film to me seemed like it needed one more re-write of the script/plot then it would be one of the elite caper movies but with that ending and the plot holes that came with it yeah no
omg right. the plot holes were just sjfksdjfks and what happened to arthur / michale caine?? he wanted revenge didn't he? i mean the whole morgan freeman/whatshisname thing was okay-solved, but there were many questions left unanswered? and i wasn't just SATISFIED with the ending. because it was so obvious actually and that's the disappointing thing. the whole magic / the tricks were so breathtaking and cool shown but you're right, the script needed more rewriting to be 100% awesome. it's really pity because otherwise i liked the movie

yeah i felt the same!!!!! when i saw the trailer i thought even about aliens haha xD
haha well at first i thought - because of michael caine and morgan freeman - "what? is this some kind of the prestige sequel or did batman turn into a magican?" - but it looked really stunning. also the cast covinced me to watch the movie - i LOVE jesse eisenberg and isla fisher (and i am also a great fan of michael cane and morgan freeman) - i generally love magic tricks combined with crime and thrilling elements but idk they should have done more for the ending because this wasn't the finale the movie deserved
