The One is finally here!
Ever since the first DJ mixers were released to the consumer market, DJs have been screaming for more options and more customizability. Vestax, like many early mixer makers of the time, did their best to try and implement new and fresh ideas to the hardware industry. Some were a great success, and others (like panning audio) were simply gimmicks that didn’t last. What did survive this entire ordeal was really the idea that a DJ wanted his or her mixer and gear to be their way. As a result, we’ve seen decks, MIDI controllers, and mixer produced in various styles – all to accommodate the wants and needs of one person. In terms of modularity, there is flexibility in how a controller or deck is used in a setup, and there is flexibility within the software for custom MIDI configurations and the like – but there have always been limitations on what you could do in the software. A new DVS known as the “One” was designed as the first program that actually allowed you to change the way the DVS gui actually looks. It was born to give Traktor and Serato a run for their money and it might just do the trick. http://djworx.com/the-one-is-finally-here/
