Join the Vixens in supporting Operation Gratitude!
Started in 2003 Operation Gratitude is a non-profit, volunteer based charity seeking to lift morale to the tens of thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines currently on deployment.
Operation Gratitude gives civilians anywhere a way to express their respect and appreciation to the men and women of the US Military. The charity sends care packages containing food, hygiene products, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with good wishes of love and support.
There are many ways that we can help; most urgently needed are:
· Personal letters for deployed troops and for wounded warriors, (personally I think this is also the easiest way to help, it doesn't take long to write a letter of gratitude!)
· Hand-made ties/scarves (know there's some very talented crafts people among us)
· 15" stuffed animals for the Battalion Buddy Program
· Beanie Babies/Webkinz/Trolls
· And of course financial donations to pay for postage
The website is incredibly informative and easy to navigate, and there's also a Facebook page, twitter, pinterest... plenty of ways to keep in touch with and share this awesome charity!
