for some info: DivSec / The Seven Divine Secrets is the AU where İsot Pepper and Charcoal are together + where my cookie run kingdom OCS are. It also has an alternate version of the Rehab AU in one part of it too. I’ll explain soon why it is named that 🤫

Charcoal Cookie and İsot Pepper cookie live together around the Town Square. They’re uh… Room mates. Yea yea that’s the word. M hm.

Charcoal cookie enjoys learning about other cultures because of İsot. When they first met he was so shocked about how the descendants of the family of Kofta live that he thought he was dreaming first. He was used to living in solitude and darkness… but he enjoys being around those who weren’t.

Charcoal Cookie’s lantern can absorb the spirits of Kala Namak and their rage, which he then can consume to become more powerful. He enjoys how the excessive power makes him feel, though he tries not to frequently use it… He’s unsure wether this works on other spirits.

Charcoal cookie in this AU is 6’ 10”, though he does get slightly larger depending on how much power of the spirits he’s consumed.

Charcoal cookie has near complete power over the Kala Namak spirits and he can control how they act and feel… unless if most of them surround him at once and decide to jump him together. This is a part of the Curse of the Moth that he has. The King can only be overthrown if the People work together.

Just because Charcoal is under a curse does not mean he has to be always miserable. His curse actually helps him at times. And he’s trying to change from the urges it gives him. :)

Charcoal has black teeth, hands and feet. This is why he always wears gloves, socks (AT LEAST) and keeps his mouth as closed as possible when talking.

He’s able to draw with his fingers like actual Charcoal. Sometimes he would sit down and draw on the walls, hence why he’s surprisingly good at sketching forms. He often would study leftover armour from the Kala Namak’s knights and sketch those out.

Charcoal has a lot of survival and hunting skills, such as starting a fire. He barely knows any first aid skills however. Strange.

He’s surprisingly brawny. He beat İsot Pepper Cookie when Oil wrestling in their youths. İsot refuses to take the L.

Charcoal’s hair is a lot more like mohair (a type of wool) than real hair. He used to shave himself with the sharp bits of the fire iron until it started to rust from “jam” he forgot to wash off. Then he wasn’t able to shave for ages until he had to move to crispia, hence why he’s REALLY hairy pre-crispia. (the moment he shaved it all off an angel lost its wings)

Charcoal likes his food VERY salty and/or burnt. Fortunately, ever since meeting İsot, he’s being getting used to BASED and REAL and AWESOME food (kebab :3). He’s probably used to his food being scuffed as he preserved any food he could find in salt in order to make it last. He also burnt most of the prey he would hunt cuz he didnt like how their flesh/dough/whatever would feel in his mouth PigznnOcztRzmzNodggVgdqz.

It takes a LOOT of alcohol to actually affect Charcoal, so he can drink and drink and not be knocked out. And he can smoke without being affected (though it does make his voice more hoarse. Heh). He actually knows how to roll cigars.

However… Since he can’t absorb nutrients well due to being made of Charcoal… he barely gets nourished by food as well.. That’s why he is near constantly so pale and deficient, despite his best to take supplements in Crispia. He also eats MUCH more than others due to this…. this definitely is not an excuse for the writers barely disguised fetish LELELELE

Charcoal does get in a bit of a rut when he’s both very hungry or too full…. İsot would know. OcztRjpgyFijrVnRzgg

Charcoal has pretty frequent migraines, especially when near others and non Kala Namak spirits. However he is being treated for it in Crispia.

Charcoal cookie is immortal and almost forever bound to the Curse of the Moth. It’s his father’s fault he’s like this.

Half of the curse comes from the stone in his lantern. It helps ward of spirits (though he does not need it to do so). It also allows him to collect the power of the spirits for him to consume, as mentioned earlier. The light and scent the stone emanates when burnt is hypnotising… DoCzgknXvghCdnKmzt…

And yes, the little salt holes in his lantern actually let out incense :) It is why he now has a job as an aromatherapist in Crispia. He likes messing around with smells, especially since he had a plague mask as well. He also babysits for extra pocket money; he mostly looks after Onion Cookie :)

Charcoal cookie can only see Kala Namak spirits without his lantern. He needs the lantern to see other spirits from the Beasts’ domains and in general. He has a lot less control over those other spirits as well.

The plague mask was mostly due to the miasma in the Catacombs. The incense from his lantern does help get rid of it. He would find any flowers that smell good he finds and put them in both his lantern and mask.

Charcoal is a VERY dominant man and will try to get his way, wether by hypnosis or force… though he does allow those he’s close with to treat him a lot softer.

Charcoal is a fairly good talker when he isn’t socially awkward. This is why as soon as someone’s friends with him they’re immediately hooked… though often times the lantern would do a lot of carrying.

Charcoal likes getting a reaction out of people, mostly those he sees as close friends (would say İsot pepper as an example but… theyre more than friends… and he sure does get reactions from him!…) It fills him with some sort of joy that usually is empty within him due to the Curse. He does not bother strangers most times though… CzKmzazmnCdnKmztOjWzNdgzio.

Charcoal has tics. The little “heh” is a tic and becomes more frequent when he’s anxious, excited or just. feeling any extreme emotion. Hence why he says “heh” a lot when he’s being very ominous or horny but shhhh… It makes him excited to see how people react.

Caramel Choux cookie has a crush on Charcoal cookie in this AU, though she knows she can’t really get with him. She sees him more as a celebrity crush. She does act normal near him most times but when she first helped him and İsot seek refuge and settle in the Town Square she had a WIIIIILLLLLDDDDD awakening. i may or may not be a caramel choux kinnie btw heheeheheee…

Speaking of the town square, there’s another cookie there that Charcoal suspects is from Beast-yeast that’s hitting on him. That being Doner cookie (who i may draw soon hehehehe). He runs a buffet and is actually the reason why Mayor Cuckoobeans is so welcoming of permanent refugees from Beast-yeast in the Town Square now.

İsot and Doner have a “friendly” rivalry because they see eachother as competition, both regarding Charcoal cookie and eachother’s skills. İsot thinks that the food at Doner’s buffet is all processed, mass produced crap (even though İsot himself loves his food) and Doner thinks İsot is wasting his time by not profiting off his food. Charcoal often has to break their squabbles if they start to argue too much, and they both listen… ohhh they both wanna fatten that tombkeeper so bad ouuhhh

Charcoal cookie was Abandoned cookie, but he does not know it. His own mind has sewn lies into his past because of the Curse, hence why he believed that Silent Salt was the Devil of Silence and thought he had ancestors who looked after the place.

His hat and fire iron is from his father, Fossil Cookie. Fossil was the mayor of a big city in Kala Namak. Fossil cookie was a bit of a bum but i’ll explain why another time. To summarise for now, he made a deal with a politician and thereby ripped a wing from the Moth. And that cursed his bloodline.

Fossil cookie rarely looked after Charcoal cookie aside from preparing him and putting pressure on him to be his heir. This is because Charcoal was an only child. Charcoal never really liked this idea until the curse settled in much later on in his life. He now enjoys having a monotonous life where he gets to protect something, wether that be the catacombs or a lover…

He liked, and still does like, going out and exploring other places. He was actually aspiring to be a shepherd as a child :)

^^ This is also why he encouraged İsot’s nephew / one of the kids under their guardianship, Lahmacun cookie, to be a shepherd. He was never able to be one…

Even if the quality of life in the Town Square is great, Charcoal still worries about how the catacombs and spirits are and he misses them, even if he knows that they’re now under Silent Salt’s guardianship. He also misses Salt Cellar cookie, despite her deciding herself to stay in Beast-yeast. He wants to go back someday…

When Kala Namak fell, around two dozen cookies helped hold the spirits back and protect what little of the land was left. Charcoal would also help them, though he was seen as “exceptionally” good at soothing the spirits. Until one day he disappeared. For a long time.

By the time he was able to find them again, only two of the cookies remained. Most of the others starved, died whilst escaping or were overwhelmed by the spirits. The two cookies were grateful he returned as he was the only one who had the talent to soothe the spirits. CzRvnBmvozapgCzAdivggtAjpiyVijoczmHzvg.

When the moon turns jam-red, the Curse breaks for 3 nights. During one of these breaks, Charcoal broke down and ran away from the catacombs, abandoning his duty. This was when he met İsot Pepper Cookie as he was seeking shelter. He’s now a lot more aware of this “break” period and tries to go out more during those times, as he seems less… creepy… during so.

Charcoal has barely interacted with women. He does not know how to talk to women and his “natural” charisma does a LOOOT of carrying for him. This is why he considers himself a homosexual even though he would likely be into women as well. Between when the last survivor of Kala Namak’s massacre died and Beast yeast Episode 11, he has NOT properly interacted with women at all… Well, he might have, but TjpYjioKvtVooziodjiOjRcvoTjpZvoRcziTjpmzNovmqdibYjTjp?

Charcoal is a lot more gentle and merciful to women and kids than men, even now. Most of the intruders of the catacombs were men after all…

A certain cookie with a peacock feather in his hat keeps spying on Charcoal… especially when İsot is around him too…. 👁️
