Behold ye the earth, His creation sculpted with but His careful hands, ordained as is His will.

And man was created to fulfill His will, and man has procreated so that man may fulfill His will in turn as their predecessors did before them.

Man procreated and the angels laid their eyes on the beautiful and comely daughters of men, those that have been born unto earth as the descendants of Eve.

Like stars falling from the heavens they descended, the blistering heat of the sun very much alike the godless firenlust in their blood.

"Art thou certain?" asked Araklba, mighty wings beating as he kept himself above ground. "Dost thou not know that the most beauteous roses carry the sharpest thorns? Doth thou not heed the warnings of Semjaza?"

Armaros nodded his head, his coiffed curls gently bobbing in the light breeze.

"I am certain; she is the one."

Araklba's lips quirked into a smile. "And wherefore art thou pathetic and pining for a mere mortal, pretty though she is?"

"Wherefore art thou maddening and pestiferous to mine head as the maggots are to the tenderly consumed flesh?" Armaros quipped in response. "She is the one," he insisted, "Mine eyes have never feasted upon such formidable beauty."

Armaros' eyes widened, his reaction visceral and disquieting. To Araklba, t'was mere surprise, but what the angel Armaros felt was something much more sinister.

"Desire consumes," warned Araklba, but Armaros paid it no mind. Araklba was displeased, and clicked his tongue in distaste. "Semjaza too expressed desire for that woman."

"What?"
