At times Shey wondered if Aelis knew what exactly this song meant to her. If she knew that she was her life raft as she lay adrift in the sea of Hell’s politics. The thought embarrassed her, being so dependent on one person for so much. But Aelis hadn’t said anything, so maybe it escaped her notice.  Or maybe…just maybe, it was alright. Maybe they needed each other, and Shey didn’t have to be anything more than her to reciprocate.
