What hurt will your character never forgive? How old (and how minor or major) is this hurt? How much does it affect their life?
It took him a very long time to forgive Arty for their break up, which was a major hurt and sent him in a depressive, self-hurting anxiety spiral. However, as time passed he started seeing how unhealthy their relationship had become and why it was a wise decision to break it up. Plus his kids wouldn’t have happened otherwise, so... The one person he can’t forgive might be his other ex, the kid’s mother: he knows in a rational way that she need smedical care more than anger, but it’s hard to frogive her for insisting n having these kids and then completely neglecting them. He wasn’t the one directly hurt but it stings anyway.

Since he’s a cis boy, the “opposite sex” would be cis girls, but this answer also includes non-binary and trans people as far as he’s concerned. Because his views are basically the same no matter what? He’s not realy the kind who judges people on their gender, and even les on their genitalia, he was raised better than that and he has enough trans and non-binary people in his life to try to avoid as much as possible this kind of harmful discrimination. Even romantically and/or sexually, he’s bi as hell, so he doesn’t really discriminate or hold particular views on any gender ; he can be more or less attracted to how someone expresses their gender, but that’s as far as it goes. Also he’s good with both vaginas and penises.
What are your character’s beliefs regarding death and after life?
I think that he’s not sure himself, and tries not to think too much about it. The St-Andrez side of his family is catholic, so there are of course these ideas of heaven and hell and all that, but even Gabriel hmself is not really practicant, and neither is Ditfried, so it’s more vague ideas than potential realities to him. Honestly, he’s got a socratic position on afterlife : then only thing that he knows is that he doesn’t know. maybe there’s something like the Christian heaven and hell, maybe you get reincarnated, maybe there’s just nothing, he doesn’t know. As for death, he fears it, of course. He’s afraid people he lives could die, but also that he could die and leave them, and he’s lucid enough to know that it would devastate his parentes and that his kids need him, so he’ll try to avoid it as long as possible.

Does your character hold any extremist political viewpoints?
Not really. When it comes to situating him on the French political panorama I’d say that he would rather be something like left-wing centrist, because well. he’s got lots of money, and a big estate, so he’d rather keep them, but at the same time he’s very aware of the importance of social issues and poverty, so he doesn’t identify at all with right-wing parties. His awareness of his own priviledges is what led him to this stance, along with the fact that mogai issues are very important to him. He’s also a feminist (his aunt raised him well) and had to fight first-hand the sexist stereotypes and bias that rules divorces, seeing how hard he had to fight to keep his kids out of reach of their toxic mothers, because you know, kids are always better with their moms anyway, why would any dad want their exclusive guard except to prey on his vulnerable ex?? (this was ironic)
A little prompt I found on Scribay, and I went for these two babies since it was Ditfried’s birthday on the 30th (started it the 28th and finished it the 30th). So there it is. I’m proud, it has dialogues AND almost some action.
- Tu sais quoi ? Merde. J'abandonne. Ça fait depuis ce matin que je fais ce que je peux pour que tout se passe bien, et là je fais une bourde et je m'en prend plein la gueule. Alors merde. T'es pas content ? On n'a qu'à rentrer, moi je laisse tomber.
What is the worst stroke of luck your character has ever had?
His break-up with Arty. Even if it was for the best because their relationship had become very toxic, it was still devastating for him, and it took him a long time to get back on his feet after that. So long that it lead to his second worst stroke of bad luck: his girlfriend getting pregnant when they were absolutely not ready to become parents, and refusing to have an abortion, even though she later showed absolutely no interest nor care in the babies. Once the kids were there he didn’t consider them bad luck anymore though, they’re the only positive outcome of this whole catastrophe.
