Archivist!Neglected reader x TMA x Batfam
Context : what if the neglected reader was born frome distortion became and avatar of the eye frome very younge age , yes the batfam neglected her but , it doesn't mattered as long as she had her real family
Context , Chapter 1
Alfred loved and cared for every family member of Wayne family.
The deceased Mr. and Mrs. Wayne were the ones who had given Alfred the opportunity for this life, Alfred loved those two and still loves them.
Bruce Wayne,
the son of the couple Alfred loved deeply , Master Bruce, the boy Alfred loved like his own son.
Master Bruce had become a good man over the yearsalthough Alfred sometimes wished Bruce didn't prioritize others over himself so much.
Master Bruce was a very intelligent manbut unfortunately Master Bruce had trouble expressing his feelings and affection to his loved ones since the death of his parents.
And that's why Alfred tried his best to convey all the affection Master Bruce had for his children to them.
Alfred cared about all of them
Alfred adored Dick's responsibility
Jason's interest in Gothic literature
Tim's keen observation
Stephanie's optimism
Cas's loyalty
Damian's affection for animals
Duke's nobility
Alfred adored all the children of the Wayne family.
But there was something Alfred couldn't forget until today;
That woman and her daughter,
Years ago, when Alfred heard that Master Bruce had entered a relationship with a woman, he was happy
The hope that Master Bruce would be less lonely quickly disappeared upon seeing the woman
Something about that woman wasn't right
Alfred couldn't describe the woman's face precisely but Alfred was somewhat sure the woman had short curly blonde hair, with curls that looked as if they were twisted together The woman was tall and thin with sharp colored nails with colorful and neon clothes and a hat that covered half of her face.
Nothing about the woman's clothes matched yet strangely they seemed to have harmony
and then the woman introduced herself and a chill went down Alfred's spine
Alfred could swear the woman's voice was like when those old tvs get broke and it start to make a buzzing sound effect.
And when the woman laughed Alfred felt sick
But the worst thing about the woman was her big creepy smile.
Alfred couldn't understand what made him date this terrible woman
Bruce had said he met the woman at a pottery show, as if the woman was friends with the show's host.(alfred questioned who could befriended this woman )
she saw bruce and she approached first
Alfred remembered the woman had told Alfred her name, but Alfred had forgotten which was strange in itself, for Alfred to forget something but Alfred guessed it was better to forget the woman.
Fortunately, the woman and Bruce's relationship didn't last long They were together for only a month and then the woman disappeared without any explanation.
And after 9 months, the woman returned;
with a clearly newborn baby in her hands
The woman was no longer smiling which only creeps out Alfred more
It seemed the woman wanted to leave as soon as possible
and spoke to Bruce and Alfred with a specific bitterness.
The woman went inside a room to talk to Bruce privately, but Alfred was almost sure what the subject of the conversation was...
After fifteen minutes, Bruce came out of the room with that newborn baby and sat on a chair in front of Alfred while his gaze was fixed on that small, pink, and wrinkled child and after a bit of silence Bruce said "she's my daughter..."
Alfred narrowed his eyes and asked "are you sure master bruce?..." Bruce sighed and said "yes, she came and showed me her birth documents, she's mine" "And where is that woman now?...." Alfred asked
Bruce blinked confused and said in a tone that was more like a question "she left....?, went out the door...."
Alfred was sure he hadn't seen the woman leave the room but decided not to say anything and simply replied
"ah, yes..."
From that day Alfred started taking care of that girl,
or as what they had decided to call her,
y/n
y/n was a quiet child.
Maybe a bit too quiet
Alfred knew he shouldn't hate on the girl because of her mother but the feeling Alfred had toward the girl was not hatred,
it was fear....!
Alfred was afraid of the girl and for the girl !
Something about her wasn't right
But it wasn't like this at first
At first the girl was a very lovely baby
Alfred had to admit y/n was a very well-behaved baby compared to Master Bruce's infancy.
She didn't cry much
She wasn't picky with food And she was a very cheerful baby
Very soon Alfred find himself, adoring the little thing.
But no joy last forever.
Alfred was not sure when it all started, but he guessed it was probably from the moment the girl began to talk, not full sentences, but more like the mumbles made by children who are just starting to speak.
At first, Alfred had not even noticed it.
But then one morning, as the girl was murmuring the word papa in that childish tone while Alfred was trying to give her breakfast,
Alfred saw it.
An old tape recorder.
It was placed under the table, recording all this time.
And for the first time, Alfred noticed the sound of old recording in the background.
Alfred could not describe the confusion and fear he felt at that moment.
Alfred quickly turned off the tape recorder, picked up the child, and took a few steps back to grab the gun he had hidden in the cabinet with his other hand.
And then the girl murmured a word again in confusion, and Alfred heard the sound of the tape recorder starting again, and he realized the tape recorder was now on top of the cabinet.
After this, nothing else was normal.
Alfred soon realized that someone or something was recording everything the girl did and said.
But whatever it was, it had not come to take the recorded tapes yet,and it did not seem to be harming anyone.
So Alfred gradually got used to it, and he hid every tape in a closet out of the sight of Master Bruce and the girl.
After this, Alfred felt most of the time that he was being watched when interacting with the girl.
And then the girl's appearance gradually began to show things.
After a while, Alfred could not tell what color the girl's eyes were ,
and then her hair grew long and the curls were not normal, just like her mother, her hair twisted in a way that made Alfred's head spin just by looking at them.
For this reason, Alfred kept the girl's hair as short as possible.
Master Bruce never objected to this, and Alfred did not mention it either.
Some days Alfred could not look at the girl,
but on better days Alfred did his best to show her affection to make up for his bad days.
And then Master Richard came.
Bruce had adopted the young boy after his loss, Master Richard was two or three years older than the girl, Master Richard was also quiet at first, but caring for a more normal child was a breath of fresh air for Alfred.
And unconsciously, Alfred paid more attention to the boy, Alfred justified his favoritism with the fact that Master Richard had just lost his parents.
But gradually, things got worse.
The girl began to say things she should not have known.
Asking alfred about his daughter ( alfred didn't talked to her for a day , he couldn't)
And then on the girl's 5th birthday,
two postmen, tall with uniforms that Alfred was sure belonged to no company and faces that Alfred could not distinguish came
the two postmen said with a sarcastic smirk that they had a package for the girl.
Alfred remembered looking at the car the two men had stepped out of and reading the words
(breekon and hope delivery company)
and then allowing the two men to enter.
The two men went toward the girl and gave her a package and congratulated the girl on her birthday in a happy tone.
When Alfred asked who the package was from, one of the two men smirked and said "from her mother's acquaintances."
Alfred felt a chill run down to his spine upon hearing those four words.
And then without another word, the two men left Wayne's manor. After the two men left
, the girl opened the package and Alfred was terrified inside upon seeing the gift.
An old teddy bear, fur and body parts sewn together piece by piece, with fur that did not look like the fur of a doll, and two large green eyes that looked too much like real eyes with veins and a red halo at the edges of the eyes, the only normal thing about the doll was that a colorful bow tie was placed around the teddy bear's neck.
Alfred even saw some cobwebs in the teddy bear's box!
Of course, the girl seemed very happy and excited
and young Master Richard also complimented the bear with a smile.
As time passed, Alfred became more certain that the teddy bear was cursed and possessed.
Alfred had seen the bear's eyes follow the girl's movements, and even once when Alfred was looking at the girl, the bear's head turned toward Alfred and stared at him,and at night, when the girl hugged the bear in her bed, the bear's eyes glowed green.
Once when Alfred was cooking food, he saw the bear on the cabinet while holding a knife.
Alfred had tried his best to get rid of the doll.
He had thrown the doll in the trash, burned it, cut it into pieces, thrown it into the river, shot it,but always without exception, the doll had returned the next day.
Finally, Alfred succeeded in imprisoning the doll in the batcave.
Alfred told the girl that she had probably lost the doll when she went to play in the yard.
The girl was very upset and cried, but eventually let it go, or if she did think about it, she did not mention the doll.
And then one night, something happened that Alfred could not tolerate.
Alfred remembered that night well.
It was 1:00 AM. Master Bruce and young Master Richard were on patrol, and Alfred was reading a book when he heard a sound,a soft and echoing whisper.
Alfred sharpened his ears and realized that the sound was a lullaby. Someone was whispering a lullaby in the mansion, with a voice that Alfred had never heard before.
The voice was scratchy, as if it were coming out of a broken television.
Alfred had quickly picked up his shotgun and moved silently toward the source of the sound.
Realizing that the sound was coming from inside the girl's bedroom troubled Alfred.
Alfred opened the door in silence.and oh lord, how alfred wish he had never seen that thing.
A very tall man (at least alfred thought it was a man) was standing in the middle of the room, thin, elongated, with long, tangled, and wavy golden hair, and a long neck that seemed to be broken in several places, and he wore colorful and neon clothes.
With large hands and excessively long fingers, he held the sleeping girl in an imitation of how mothers embrace infants and was softly whispering a lullaby to the girl.
The creature, having noticed Alfred's presence, turned its head toward Alfred and gave a large smirk, holding its long index finger in front of its mouth as if signaling Alfred to be quiet.
Alfred at that moment, without a second of hesitation, shot the creature, but somehow the bullet did not hit the creature, and the creature had already placed the girl in her bed and gone inside a yellow door that Alfred was certain had not been there before.
Alfred, with the departure of the creature, had quickly turned on the room light and quickly hugged the girl now that she was awake and took her out of the room.
When the girl asked Alfred in confusion what had happened,
Alfred had only replied that from now on, the girl would sleep in Alfred's room.
This incident had frightened Alfred more than he would admit.
The thought of a small child dying because of Alfred's inattention by a creature , THAT creature , terrified Alfred.
Alfred had spoken with Master Bruce about this after the incident, but to Alfred's surprise, Master Bruce had only replied with "she seems normal and fine to me".
This inattention from Master Bruce, and the events that were happening to the girl over which Alfred had no control, had caused Alfred to turn to drinking alcohol again,
just like when his own daughter had died, stemming from a feeling of helplessness that was becoming suffocating for Alfred.
Until one day, an old man came to visit them.
An old man named simon fairchild.
Alfred had heard the name of the fairchild family, a very wealthy family in Britain that funded one of the space stations.
The old man, simon, informed Bruce and Alfred that the girl's mother was actually Simon's adopted child,
and when Simon realized he had a grandchild, he quickly came here to see his grandchild.
And then Simon explained how difficult it must have been for them to raise the girl alone, especially in a city like Gotham, and Simon would be happy if Master Bruce allowed him to take the girl with him to Britain, and for the girl to live with him.
Bruce was happy to hear what Simon saidbut Alfred was hesitant, at least initially, but after thinking for a bit, that small and treacherous part of Alfred that was relieved by the girl's absence won,
and Alfred allowed Simon to take the girl to Britain.
Alfred was happy with the girl's departure, and had peace after a long time and this made him feel guilty.
Shortly after the girl left, Master Jason joined the family and Alfred very soon no longer thought about the young girl who once walked in this mansion
The girl was gone,
and the only things that remained of the girl were her
room
the teddy bear imprisoned in the batcave
and the old and cursed portrait that was consigned to oblivion in the hallways of the mansion.
and this is it , the first chapter i hope yellow enjoyed it
I would be so happy to hear your thoughts and theories on this in the comments

Some TMA LGBTQ+ headcanon's because guess what I am. Some are meant to be serious. Some are just meant to be funny.
Jon Sims - Jon did not realize that asexual was not the default until he was in his 20's. He heard songs about wanting sex on the radio, and read books where lust was a driving emotion for characters actions, but he thought it was all overexaggerated feelings for media. It was actually when he was with Georgie that she told that some people actually do feel that way, much to his shock.
Martin Blackwood - He realized he was gay later in life than most people on account of being sort of a late bloomer who wasn't really into anyone until he was in his early twenties. He's always amazed by the people who just knew who they were. That was always kind of a battle for him.
Tim Stoker - He's a trans man, and his name was picked by Danny shortly after he came out. He actually thought "Tim" was kind of dull at first, but after some thought it really grew on him, and he liked having such a meaningful connection to his biggest supporter.
Sasha James - She's always looking for queer spaces because that's where she feels most comfortable considering her own identity. Meeting Tim, Jon, and Martin, and getting the chance to work with them was one of the best parts of her job, because it gave her a bit of community.
Melanie King - Melanie has never "technically" come out. She just started dating women and waited for everyone else around her to catch up.
Georgie Barker - She attends pride parades whenever they're around her. She like to be surrounded by community and see's pride events as great opportunities to make more connections. She has a lot of casual acquaintances from there, along with pins that she picks up from booths.
Basira Hussain - She spends a lot of time reading up on queer history. She finds it all very interesting to see how far LGBTQ+ people have come even with the various challenges. She's probably the most educated on this list, and various other characters know a lot as well! (Georgie, Jon, Gertrude, Martin, Especially.)
Daisy Tonner - She's a "I knew I was gay since I was two," person. So many people she knows have really long and nuanced stories about coming to terms with their queerness (Which is extremely valid!!!) while she just sort of always knew.
Peter Lucas - He headcanon's his boat as gay. It feels more familar that way.
Elias Bouchard - He loves rainbow capitalism. He launched the idea to Gertrude once about hosting their own pride night in June, but Gertrude pointed out that would be very homophobic/transphobic considering they would be plaguing queer people with nightmares. Elias thinks that's ridiculous since he's bi and doesn't care THAT much about the gender of his hosts, but whatever.
Gertrude Robinson - Gertrude has a small pride flag on her desk that Gerard left there. She leaves it because she's noticed that it makes statement givers more comfortable with her.
Gerry Keay - Gerard's gender is genuinely "whatever." He has intense gender apathy and is totally fine going by any pronouns. It's all on the table.
Hezekiah Wakely - His love language is writing letters, because he likes having something physical to remind him of all the sweet words he and another shared. Yes, this does have to do with his friend Nathaniel.
Jane Prentiss - She just gives me the vibes of someone who had a WLW situationship in college who fundamentally changed who she was as person.
Agnes Montague - She LOVES pride month because she finds the look of rainbows to be absolutely darling. She looks so forward to it.
Jude Perry - Conversation Jude has had at one point probably: "Have you ever noticed that the orange of fire kind of looks like the orange in a pride flag? No? Look harder then!"
Oliver Banks - He/they pronouns. A big reason he liked working at the gem store is because he got to wear a name tag with his pronouns and people respected them greatly.
Jared Hopworth - He has severely underanlayzed feelings for his childhood friend that was in "The Boneturner's Tale."
Distortion Michael - Michael made the homophobic vase because he was mad that being a spiral creature meant less men hit on him. If he can't be gay than no one can.
Distortion Helen - She sometimes spares LGBTQ+ during pride month to be themed. She kills them once the month is over, but the thought is there for 30 days. #LoveWins.
Nikola Orsinov - Less of a headcanon, more of a story. I read TMA on Github before I listened to it, and some fucking how I thought Nikola was a guy the entire time I was reading. I figured it out once I listened to TMA and actually registered the "her" pronouns Jon was using, but something about me being confused about her gender feels very genderfluid in a way I think a stranger creature would appreciate. But the actual headcanon is: They will take on other genders whenever they get bored with the one they currently have.
Michael Crew - Mike is romantically interested in men, but he also doesn't think about that a whole lot considering his life circumstances, so he's unlabeled. And don't try to label him on his behalf because he hates being boxed in. If you call him bi/gay then he's going to make a big deal about possibly being the other one just out of spite. It doesn't matter if you're technically correct or not.
Simon Fairchild - I feel like he's a very "he's confused, but he's got spirt!" type. Like, if he met a gay person it would go like this: Simon: "Do gay people like roller costars?" Gay person: "We aren't a hivemind." Simon: "Oh." Simon: "Do trans people like roller coasters?"
Anabelle Cane - Lesbian. That's my only headcanon for her but that's the one that feels most important to me.
"Whaaaat no I totally don't relate to Michael at all—"

Doodled a couple tma characters, I love seeing my guys
It's the 1 year anniversary of me designing my Michael and starting TMA so I thought I'd draw him celebrating :]
Michael Distortion is very gender, not just in the sense that its voice and personality and appearance are gender but also in the body horror “I do not want to be Michael” identity crisis way. In this essay I will—
