I haven't played any of the Tactics games, but I have played VII, VIII, and IX, and they're easily my favorite games in the entire franchise. (Granted, I got stuck while playing Final Fantasy VI and I lost interest in Final Fantasy XIII while I was playing it... but, that's besides the point.)
