#dispondee

I’ve decided as a self-imposed challenge to write one poem in every poetic foot (up to the quarternary,) as well as many different types of poems-- one of each kind listed in Wynne’s “Poetic Meter and Form.” To start, I’ve written a quick piece using the spondee, a poetic foot composed of two stressed syllables. You basically can’t write entirely in spondees without sounding like you’re writing a children’s book. This is also an example of the dispondee, which is two spondees put together. “Dyspondee” Wrong spot, fluke codes-- Tick tock tick tock--  Pam hocks ham hocks-- Tick tock tick tock-- “Damn your mud roads,” Tick tock tick tock-- Small box explodes.
