Hi! I’m Desi! And, I’m excited to share with all of my fellow Disney Dreamers! I’d love to introduce myself and share how I became a Disney Dreamer.
As a little girl, I always loved Disney (who didn’t?), and I dreamed of working at Disney someday. While in college, I learned of the Disney College Program, and I jumped on that opportunity right away. “A dream is a wish your heart makes...”
In 2003, I jumped on board and served “on stage” as a cast member at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort. What an awesome experience that was! Everything I learned in that experience has carried me through my life and career. The experience strengthened my emotional intelligence, my ability to care for others, compassion, and everything you would ever need to know about exceptional customer service.
Upon graduating from college, I began working in the local fashion industry as a model, trainer, and recruiter, where I connected with amazing individuals, gamechangers, and those who were trying to leverage this platform to change the world. We worked together to support a non-profit organization that supported inner city children that tied fashion to helping children build confidence and social skills. I have always had a passion for the arts and fashion and simply connecting others to good causes.
My next adventure in life was a blessing, and that was becoming a Mom. My daughter is every bit of a miracle. She brings joy everywhere she goes! Her heart is huge, and she is FILLED with a Disney spirit! She is literally my Disney Twin, and is obsessed with Disney just like I am. (We’re definitely related. ;-P) I have enjoyed sharing Disney with my family, and I’m excited now to share our adventures with you!
