Diskant is from the Austrian police CTU, EKO Cobra. He’s a 3 speed 1 armor op, and I’m planning on making him an offense op but honestly I don’t know yet

His ability is a high frequency sound device (HFS Device) which is a thrown device that emits, well, high frequency sounds in a 15 foot diameter. The farther you get away from it, the less loud the sounds are, but if you’re within 5 feet of it, enemies will barely be able to hear sprinting foot steps and gunfire (don’t worry, allies will be able to hear the device however it will be at much more muted volumes). I’m toying with the idea of it being a toggle on and off, though I think it’d be better if it was just placed and turned on when it landed. It’s a thrown device, similar to Ela’s Grzmots, however it cannot be stuck to a vertical surface and always lands vertically and not on its side. Because of this, it is easy to tuck away into corners where enemies are more likely to look over, and its shape helps it stick in even better (it’s a triangle essentially but with flattened tips, the icon I drew is a top-down view of the device)

The sounds do not double on top of each other, and if the devices are too close it will only emit sound at the same level and not stacked, though the area it affects will be much greater. I planned on Diskant to carry two of these HFS’s, and they can be retrieved after being thrown like lots of other devices. To make them stick out more, a small red light semi-similar to drones would be somewhere on the top or side of it, though I don’t have a cleaner idea for a design yet so we’ll see

Personality-wise, he’s more mechanically than socially adept, and is a music lover of all kinds. He’s close friends with Echo and Twitch due to the complexity of their drones, and is also friends with the GSG9 unit, having worked with them during the past due to them having neighboring countries. Focused and driven during a task, Diskant is always ready to support his allies any way he can, his quick reflexes and speed making him ideal for getting out of tough situations.
