It's another memory. One that had been staring him in the face this whole time. The memories of the people he's met, those two other guys.. and that girl, the girl..what was one of the things they all had in common, in those memories?
The uniform.
While he had, sharply, discovered the reality was different to what he pictures, while it meant more to internally question, it all brought another brainwave. In those strange memories, yes, he still calls them strange, they were all in the North High uniform, but congregated in a room, a club room, since they were, well, part of a club. The clear vision of the armband he recreated was an indicator of that. If there was a club, there had to be a clubroom.
A clubroom.. in this very school..
On that thought, another memory, not one seemingly important before, but one that was now.. came to him. Walking.. down the halls, down to the clubhouse.. to a door. Was that where the club all met?
End of school, up he gets, though not too quick. Of course as ends up in the hall way, instinctively, he decides to put on the armband he otherwise kept in his blazer pocket. Always he affixed it with a single safety pin. Every time he put it on, it still felt the same. Wrong. Not for you. But that helped him. That drove him.
Using that newfound memory, he walked from the main building, along the hall that bridged such with the clubhouse. It was becoming real again, the āvintageā look of such a building bringing a strange hint of nostalgia. This was the way to the clubroom, wasnāt it? But which one was it? Along the halls he went, scanning the signs of each door.. until one stopped him abruptly in his tracks, as if another small, snap memory stopped him.
...The Literary Club?
It was, strange, but at the same time, this was it, this had to be it! And yet, there was a niggling thought in his head that while the sign said āLiterary Clubā, the actual club.. group.. or whatever it was called, it just seemed.. something very different entirely, not at all about books. Still, this was a lead, another small piece of this puzzle.. with more possibly revealed behind this very door.
What was behind this door? What would he find? The very clubroom where it all happened, maybe a world of discovery and memories rest in here.. Would the jigsaw become clearer in here?
Only one way to find out.
A hand raised.. he would knock, making his presence known to whomever was inside.
