Let's just stop doing our meta for one sec and talk about what actually happened in the last episode: Sam bringing Cas up, Dean being all "Whatever". Dean telling Sam he only every loved and needed him. Sam living a miserable life and Dean riding through heaven til he met Sam. Dabb told us the only thing that ever mattered on SPN were the bros. He made the scene romantic. Network doesn't change the dialog.
