@reggiesfilthylittlesecret wrote this one a while back, as a gift to me! It's actually inspired by my big redfly/rediron focused series. I legitimately cried the first time I read it, because I love it so much and well. This series just means so much to me, so someone writing a fic directly inspired by it just really gets me every time. I truly can't recommend it enough.

reggie posted this on the 11th, as part of her newest series: Shouldn't Have Happened (Shouldn't Have Kept Happening). the series started off with Ben/Redfly, then Ben/Redfly/Ironhead, toss in some Ironhead/Pope, and Redfly/Pope too for messy relationship goodness. i can't recommend the series enough.

it was a Catfish-heavy week, admittedly though not intentional lol. the first three are from the same artist: @mjpens; who has some really lovely fanart of Catfish! i just really love the scenes they went for. the fanedit for catfish is focused on whenever he's armed in the movie and honestly, 100/10. he is hot when armed. my moot, @dirbenaffleck just has so many lovely gifsets for triple frontier on both that blog and @batfleckgifs. okay a big one i wanna highlight though is actually the "Bearing Spears, Carrying Shields" fic by @reggiesfilthylittlesecret. do you like triple frontier? do you like moon knight? well do i have fantastic news for you because this is a TF/MK crossover! do head the tags, but like. chapter 1 is up and it's truly just so good, idk how it's not gotten more attention already honestly.

okay this part is going to be a smidge different, i do have my usual links after this but i wanna tackle this first.. because this is not limited to traditional "comments" and just in general showing our appreciation to those who make fanwork for our fandom, regardless of the type of fanwork. and i am doing my best to lead by example, as much as i am able.so, all of that is to say: i finally gained the courage to message my favorite artist for triple frontier: @littledozerdraws ! dozer has so many amazing pieces of fanart for this movie, that i seriously cannot recommend enough that y'all check out. it's primarily a mix of FishBen and, to my delight, RedIron! there is not much fanart in this fandom, so i'm pretty sure he has drawn a fairly large percentage of whats out there. so the fact that so much of it then, is RedIron? it warms my heart entirely. it was my first exposure to the idea of RedIron as a ship and honestly it was the first nail in the coffin for my little RedIron-obsessed heart. i've commented in tags of their art before, but i wanted to do a little more. so i wrote up something in my notes to send to their inbox. but found it closed, but their DM's open. i was really hesitant, because i didn't want to overstep my bounds. so instead of my big ol gush going straight to their DM's, i said hi and asked if i could send it first. once he said yes, i sent over what i'd written:

dozer said i made his day and honestly just hearing that made mine! i would have been perfectly fine if that was the end of it, but instead we've been chatting about triple frontier, and bonding over it since! he even asked for a link to read my redfly/rediron series!!!! 🥹

all of this is just to say, that this is ultimately my goal with these events and the TFF community: to just make friends and support one another in the fandom! this experience alone just so perfectly distills what i've hoped for in making the community page.

okay, back to more standard lists now, i just couldn't not gush about this amazing experience.

i dont know what happened to me lately but ive been cookin writing-wise i cracked out like 4 poems (2 were for class and got acllaimed by the class and my teacher said they reminded her of claudia rankine), 5 chapters of a fic + my 100th fic, and currently half of a pilot screenplay, all of this in the span of like 2 weeks. i feel like that part of oppenheimer where he picks up his pipe and hat like mjolnir and gets the back to that trappin. it has to be done for the greater good, and im the only one who can do it.
