         ❛      running  into  people  i  haven't  seen  in  years  is  starting  to  get  a  little  played  out  .     ❜         kai  spoke  as  he  entered  the  record  store  .  dion  being  the  first  person  he  saw  in  the  small  and  enclosed  shop  .  it  really  was  getting  a  little  old  ,  running  into  people  from  the  past  .          (       a  little  boring  .     )          the  same  old  small  talk  that  drove  him  𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐄  .  kai  wasn't  one  for  small  talk  ,  already  searching  for  something  that  could  keep  him  entertained  or  𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐃  for  the  time  being  .  he  had  to  kill  time  somehow  and  the  last  thing  he  wanted  to  kill  it  with  was  useless  chatter  .  that  being  said  ,  kai  was  the  type  that  only  felt  any  real  purpose  to  anything  if  it  was  causing  some  sort  of  adrenaline  or  rush  to  curse  through  him  .  he  wanted  to  feel  like  he  was  on  𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄  ,  like  everything  around  him  would  burst  into  flames  at  any  given  moment  .  so  there  was  a  chance  his  standards  were  a  bit  warped  .         ❛      it's  fine  ,  we  can  skip  the  pleasantries  .  i  know  ,  i  look  great  .  yadda  ,  yadda  ,  yadda  .     ❜       kai  speaking  as  unserious  as  always  as  he  walked  over  to  one  of  the  stands  of  records  and  started  glancing  through  it  .          ❛     so  ,     ❜         he  began  ,  now   glancing  back  up  at  her  .           ❛      tell  me  ,  what've  you  been  up  to  ?  go  off  and  become  some  sort  or  singer  or  some  shit  ?     ❜          he  asked  ,  perhaps  letting  the  small  talk  linger  for  a  moment  before  he  bored  himself  .

             nothing  was  going  according  to  plan  . . .          (     if  there  even  was  a  plan  .      )           but  everything  about  all  of  this  𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓  seem  like  the  quote  ,  unquote  plan  at  all  .  everything  seemingly  a  disaster  or  a  𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑  waiting  to  happen  .  zeppelin  was  unable  to  really  find  his  footing  or  peace  of  mind  with  everything  going  on  .  he  was  already  the  type  to  get  overwhelmed  but  with  everything  added  on  ,  with  their  pasts  seemingly  𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑  leaving  them  alone  . . .  zeppelin  didn't  know  what  to  do  with  himself  .          ⏤           setting  his  guitar  down  ,  zeppelin  stood  up  and  brushed  his  fingers  through  the  front  of  his  hair  before  pacing  a  bit  back  and  forth  .  finally  ,  he  took  a  breath  and  took  a  moment  to  sit  back  down  .  turning  to  look  over  at  dion  .           ❛       i  just  wanted  everything  to  go  back  to  how  it  was  before  . . .  when  none  of  this  was  on  anyone's  radar  anymore  . . .     ❜  

           zeppelin  and  dion  were  still  relatively  close  .  some  said  keeping  friendships  from  high  school  were  practically  impossible  but  the  two  seemed  to  be  𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄  of  hanging  on  .  despite  the  ups  and  downs  they'd  had  throughout  their  relationship  .         ⏤        after  making  it  to  the  top  of  the  trail  ,  zeppelin  plopped  himself  down  on  a  rock  .  scooting  over  slightly  in  order  for  dion  to  sit  next  to  him  as  he  looked  out  at  the  view  of  lincoln  city  ,  oregon  .  it  was  times  like  these  he  got  a  little  homesick  .  turning  his  head  to  look  at  the  girl  ,  they  𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐍'𝐓  talked  about  the  message  that  was  sent  out  or  the  reunion  that  was  coming  .  a  reunion  zeppelin  knew  ,          (      or  had  a  good  feeling  ,     )         most  would  show  up  to  .  hard  not  to  show  up  when  that  message  was  going  around  .         ❛      ready  for  our  big  high  school  reunion  ?   ❜          he  questioned  ,  eyes  still  on  her  .         ❛      i've  already  seen  some  flashes  from  the  past  and  . . .  you  know  that  dude  vince  ?  pretty  sure  he  played  hockey  or  something  . . .  dude  called  me  shrimpy  .     ❜        zeppelin  rambled  off  ,  lips  pressing  together  for  a  moment  before  he  let  out  a  sigh  and  glanced  back  at  the  scenery  around  them  .        ❛      i  don't  know  ,  di  . . .  i  can't  shake  that  something  really  bad  is  gonna  happen  .     ❜
