And now a special related to Valentine's Day or Valentine's Month. Ducktales comic as Valentine's Day Special "A Day to Remember" written by Connor Ratcliff and James III and drawn by Carlo Lauro.
A special comic from Dynamite publishing about Valentine's Day and how Scrooge McDuck and Magica De Spell fell in love with each other. And in a rather unusual and clumsy way. And it is interesting that it fell on Friday the 13th, since this year in February we had Friday the 13th, and Valentine's Day was on February 14th, a Saturday. However Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and Webby together with Gyro went in search of Scrooge. And there are cameo characters like the Beagle Boys, Negaduck, Quackerjack, Donald and Daisy Duck, Flintheart Glomgold and others. I didn't post everything in terms of comic book covers because I wouldn't care so I will in the next post, and for now just the comic from beginning to end. Enjoy!

A quick thing I drew since I recently remembered I used to ship these two as a kid
Deciced to use a panel from the Ducktales Valentine Special 2026 as a inspiration, mostly bc I saw a shipper of these two ( @monkey-li ) dissapointed with it. Not saying mine's better, I think the line of action is much better in the original.

So, I'm back from holiday and can finally write my review of the Ducktales Valentine's Day Special. I'll just focus on the most important aspects, namely their relationship and portrayal of the characters.
There were a few other things that bothered me, but they're not important to me. For example, guest appearances from St Canard that didn't make sense and, in my opinion, only stole panel time from Scrooge and Magica content.
But never mind.
First of all, I would like to say that this special was more than I ever dared to hope for from any official source!!!
I have a few minor criticisms, but I can live with them for what I got in return! Over the next few months, I will devote myself to the continuation of this comic to bring it to a Dimeshipping-worthy conclusion.
The nice thing is that, unlike with my FixIT stories, I don't have to change the source material in any way. I will pick up seamlessly where the special ends to create the missing happy ending that the official creators are unable to provide legaly!
Also from now on I will use the Tag "Scroogica" additional to "Dimeshipping" so new Fans that got hooked by the special will find the content aswell!
We start with how I love that they kept his appreciation for a strong and fierce character. Just one of many reasons why the two of them are perfect for each other. (not for the rest of the world though 😂)
Them having pretty pictures of each other is always one of my favorite tropes! So Kudos to including that from the comics even though it never happend in Ducktales.
The weird floating thing they do for the whole comic is my main critic.
Two of the covers promised me my favorite trope of them traveling by broom together. So I am really sad we not even got one panel. I guess it was easier to draw them floating arround? But then don't promote otherwise ><
Still, I love how happy they already look together just starting. Its meant to be!

How her name popped into his mind looking at her while wondering what they mean to each other... Remember he lost all his memories. Her name came from his heart not his memory!
Here we have a nice not to the Comic "Obsession''. She stopped wanting the dime a long time ago and only keeps up the fight to be near him. And he enjoys it just as much!
Cute cuddling to heal the timeline. They started getting touchy real quickly ♥
Hate to tell you guys, you enjoy each others company so much without knowing each other cause your hearts remember the feelings you never admited!
Here is another critic I have. WHY does Magica speak french??? Its canon Scrooge speaks most languages of the world but not her. And when the excuse is ''magic' thats pretty lazy writting. Let him be the main brain! Magica has other powers and don't need to know everything he does. They complete each other. They have some different strenghts that compliment each other, making them more powerfull together.
Kudos for having public recognizing them on their date though. Its not their first one but never public battet an eye. Also Kudos for having fun going on in the bg, like Rosa always had 😂
Yes. THIS! This is what I was always praying for YEARS now! Finaly its confirmed official! Though we had a similar conclusion before ^^ (third pic)
I really wish instead of them going on countless adventures in one day and we only getting one panel each. We got ONE more into deep. But thats nit picking so I don't count it as real critic from my side.
This panel though IS critic from me. The same as with the french speaking. WHY is Magica the one carrying them?? Ducktales 87 Scrooge is confirmed to be physical stronger then all prisoners in jail. Please let him be the one to be more capable here. Again its hurting their powerdynamic otherwise.
I HATE the modern take that ''strong female characters'' have to be able to do EVERYTHING. No, Magica is a perfectly strong woman without beeing physical strong! It was Scrooges time to shine here again.
This is lowkey my most hated panel in the whole comic!
With that my critic points for the Comic ends though 😅 so you see, there is not that much from me and thats HUGE considering what that ship means to me!
Again just to heal the timeline LOOK at them beeing SO happy with each other. So in love 😭

Look at his face after his family pulled him away from Magica. Does he look like he wants to go back to beeing enemies with her? Nope, so I will fix that for him in my sequel ^^
And for Magica aswell of course. Who had his Dime in her hands, but gave it back to him. Proving its not the coin she wants from him anymore but his heart.
And this is the ending picture. I assume this is what both imagine to see in the clouds ♥
And that was my honest review. I am super thankfull for the writers and the Artist for creating this Dimeshipping masterpiece even if it has some minor flaws.
I only wish I had the opportunity to draw a cover aswell 😭

Scrooge McDuck and Magica De Spell (Dimeshipping) - Alternative ending to Ducktales comic "A day to remember!" - Valentine's Day Special - Ducktales 1987 - Ducktales AU - Gift for my friend - Scrooge and Magica with kids and Poe, Gyro and Launchpad - My style and my version - Ducktales, Duck comics and Duckverse
I made this as my gift for my friend who is a huge fan of this love couple, and I also made it as my version of an alternate ending to the Ducktales comic (released this year) related to Valentine's Day in which Scrooge and Magica decide to be together despite the many rivalries they had before. It's about the fact that on Friday the 13th, the day before Valentine's Day, Magica wanted to make a potion that would make Scrooge forget and give Magica his first coin (One Dime), so that Magica would fulfill her goal in the end. However, when the two met in Duckburg, it happened that Magica spilled her potion while clashing with Scrooge and they both fell under the spell and forgot about their past and then fell in love. And they both went on many trips around the world, and Gyro, Huey, Dewey and Louie and Webby who became worried and went in search of them, followed by Launchpad McQuack. In the end Gyro used his invention to restore Scrooge and Magica's memory and again the two clash and Magica takes Scrooge's first coin. However, in the end, Magica gives Scrooge his first coin back and it turns out that the two love each other in the end. I did a drawing of the alternate ending where Scrooge returns to Magica and thanks her and they make love to each other so they hug and kiss each other. Apart from them there is also Poe De Spell (Magica's brother turned into a crow), Launchpad McQuack, Gyro Gearloose, Little Helper, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Webby Vanderquack with her Quacky Patch doll and Minima De Spell (Magica's niece, by the way she first appeared in the Ducktales comic "Dime After Dime", and here she supposedly meets Donald's nephews and Webby for the first time and yes, Minima often appears in Italian comics) and all together are located near Magica's Lair, which is located near Mount Vesuvius near Naples in southern Italy. I drew in my own way in my own style, just applying a bit of the Ducktales 1987 version (especially for Scrooge, Gyro and Launchpad). I hope you like this!

So, understandable screaming aside, I realized that this story doesn’t involve love potions or love spells - they’ll be falling for their genuine selves. Whole Lot of potential for “what could have been.”
I’m not going to be okay when this comic gets out and i can’t wait.
