Most of you probably don't know this, but I have a YouTube channel (@jsdimensions) where I will be posting content of my object show, Dimensional Drift, on.
You see, after some motivation from my mom (thanks, mom!!), I've decided to make Dimensional Drift an official show that I'll be working on for the remainder of my summer break and in my free time!
The grind has begun.
Many more character refs will be released soon! I will use this blog and my YouTube channel to help promote the show.
I love looking back at the original Dimensional Drift (I like to call it DD 1.0) from. Like. 4 years ago. I'm planning on uploading what I made for the original first episode years ago on YouTube sometime soon so people can see my original plans for the show. Idk. I think that would be cool. And thinking about not only all of the differences in characters and story ideas, but also the GLOWUPS everyone got that add so much more context and character to their character designs. I'll make a post about the glowups if anybody's interested in that.

i think it's so funny that Wisteria and Art Block used to be a ship/romantic pairing in Dimensional Drift 1.0. but now they fucking Hate each other in modern DD.
Wisteria actually originally hated Teacup.
Mushroom is a completely different character to their beta self! They used to be a "he" in 1.0 who filled modern Art Block's role of being a moody pessimist, but...executed worse.
C.C. used to be a man with a family, but now he's Gay!!! And without a family.
Wisteria lived in a typical, basic fantasy world until I added magical girl anime into the mix.
Lily used to be a subversion of the "mean careless host" trope where she's actually nice and cares about the contestants, but the fact she took everyone from their homes without their consent made me make her a subversion of the subversion where she acts nice, but still doesn't care about the Drifters.
The first episode I was making in 2020 was literally not planned out at all, and it SHOWS. However, I did manage to make a full 4 minutes and 16 seconds of animation on flipaclip, which is really impressive for me Ever. in general.
Lastly, have Lily’s gross icky ew ew ew old design for actually looking at this post. Holy crap, this is a completely different person.
