we seriously need to stop conceding to the personhood trap when it comes to abortion rights. is a fetus a person? thats a spiritual question. i dont care about the answer. should another person dictate what someone can do with their body? simple answer: no.

we do have to contend with the fact that the reason there is this like perpetual conflation funnel that turns aave and other black dialects into 'gen z slang' and memes and the reason non black performers keep putting on blaccents and the reason pictures of black people just existing gets turned into memes is the same and its because its all minstrelsy.

the reason men are getting more conservative is very simply that as a class, as a socioeconomic group, their power is being threatened by womens civil rights. its the same reason for the broad surge in right wing politics. its called a backlash and its also why most civil war monuments are from the era of the black civil rights movement and not actually from the civil war.

so the thing is trans men do experience an intersection of transness and manhood and that is similar to the intersection for black men and poor men and probably every other marginalized man like is often said but its not misandry. its actually the opposite. its a denial of male privilege.

this is maybe a controversial take but i do think exploring the thought experiment of 'robot racism' (if there was a group that you had carte blanche to dehumanize how would you react) isnt worthless, like i do think like as a racism allegory it falls flat more often than it doesnt (not to say it can never be done well. which is also a hot take i think) but now we have people who are gleefully like if there was a group i could dehumanize guilt free i would do it and am excited to roleplay that reality now which is like. its something. like putting aside the fact that theyre doing this while specifically making reference to real slurs and civil rights movements and hate groups. youre failing the bad heavy handed sci fi allegory right now guys.

today is the 3 year anniversary of breonna taylors murder at the hands of police. as a reminder, she was killed in a no knock swat raid. the warrant for this raid was provided under false pretenses, as the police officers lied about the suspect of their investigation having packages delivered to her house. none of the officers have been charged.
