Digimon Adventure (1999) ep 31 vs Raremon

The 02 cast is funny in that it's really hard for me to decide on a favorite kid, it could almost be any of them on any given day, but I find myself drawn to Yolei a lot more lately, I like how much of a free spirit she is nowadays. And you know, you can't go wrong with Kari.

After that incident, "Homeostasis" analyzed what had occurred and scanned those children who showed resonance with the event. From that data it identified specific inner traits that had a direct influence on Digimon evolution and behavior.

That analysis led Homeostasis to create their Digivices and Crests, each one linked to the strongest qualities those children had at that moment in their lives. These artifacts were meant to connect those traits with digivolution and keep it stable. But they aren't strictly necessary as seen later in 02 in the Dark Ocean where Tailmon digivolves into Angewomon without them.

So Digivices and Crests work as systems that guide how those traits are expressed during evolution, supporting evolution and helping prevent unstable or destructive outcomes when those traits aren't properly applied, though this system isn't fully reliable as seen in cases like SkullGreymon. Their purpose is to maintain balance within the Digital World when darkness becomes stronger than the system can control.
