What's in Your Bag?

"Oh hey! Look at that!" You smile broadly at the stranger standing next to you in line at the check-in counter. "Same bag!" You gesture excitedly between the black bag in your hand and his. "What's in yours?"
The man stiffens, obviously tired and annoyed by your enthusiastic attempt at friendly banter. "Clothes," he says shortly. Then, almost as if he's remembering that he still has to live with other humans and doesn't want to be rude about it, he adds, "What about yours?"
"Liquor, drugs, and weapons!" You announce proudly. "Just going home for the holidays, you know," you add with a wink.
The corners of his brown eyes crinkle as he chuckles. "So the liquor, drugs, and weapons are gifts for the family, then?"
Your eyes go wider with delight that he's engaging with you. "See, you get it! Why is that so hard for airport security to understand?"
The person in front of him finishes their check-in and moves away. He steps up to the counter, giving the name 'William Tell'. He pays in cash.
Before he leaves, Mr. Tell turns and gives you a small smile and a nod.
Intriguing.
He feels so familiar to you, which with your history can only mean trouble. You have an urge to follow him and find out just how similar your bags - and the contents - really are, but you hold yourself back. Your family might send out a search party if you don't get home on time, and that could get really messy, for all involved.
