Olivia: So, like, were you aware of wherever in the world they were putting them (the Hot Spots), and... ‘cause there were some crazy places.
Louis: There were! Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had quite a few meetings about it. And it was something that was important to me because when we were in the band, when we were in One Direction, what we did so well for a lot of the-- most of the albums-- was do a really really great online campaign, and just something that’s interesting and different. And creating that kind of event, I suppose. And we planned to do that.
— Two of Us promo, Total Access interview with Olivia Jones

I don’t know whether Louis knew that Olivia Jones was a Larrie, but those Hot Spots... hahaha... It seems Olivia knew that quite a few seemed to have funny Larry significance, and was asking Louis whether he had input. And he answered, well, they weren’t random! We know Louis is plugged into fandom memes and gossip. What Louis said about the fun digital projects in One Direction was also pretty funny because he’s said it in a couple of interviews now. I can’t help wondering about that 1D radio dial that was used for MITAM promo, with snippets of classic Larry moments interspersed in it (sorry, I can’t find the link now). Another digital project: RBB and SBB, which was technically (since they were live and not virtual, involved stage lights, multiple platforms, tie-ins to Louis and Harry’s own SM accounts) multimedia rather than digital, hahahaha.
We are pleased to announce that we have just published the next stage of our Neatline digital exhibition documenting the experience of Connecticut soldiers in the Civil War. This phase features pdfs of seven letters with complete transcriptions from three soldiers in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida between 1863 and 1865. You can see the exhibition here: omeka.conncoll.edu/neatline/fullscreen/south-carolina-and-georgia. The entire project can be found at http://omeka.conncoll.edu/neatline/show/civil-war. We hope to have the next stage of the project completed by the end of March.
Digital Projects That Make Technology Work for People
Technology in digital projects should serve the experience, not define it. The best online events are the ones where the technology works seamlessly in the background, allowing the content and the connections between people to take centre stage. QTP is a Mumbai-based production company that understands this principle and applies it consistently across the digital projects it manages.
Rather than letting the limitations of the digital medium dictate what is possible, the company looks for creative ways to use technology to enhance the experience — building digital environments that feel engaging, well-structured, and genuinely connected to the spirit of the event. Their portfolio of digital projects includes large literature festivals with millions of viewers, multi-day social conferences, youth theatre festivals with international participation, performing arts symposiums, and digital theatre productions. Each has been produced with a clear focus on making technology serve the people participating in and watching the event.
Multi-Day Digital Projects: QTP's Expertise in Complex Virtual Festival Production
Extended digital projects present unique logistical challenges, and QTP has mastered multi-day virtual event production. The Love, Sex & Data Conference spanned three days with 36 events and 60 speakers—a complex digital project requiring meticulous coordination. Literature Live's digital editions ran for multiple days with numerous parallel sessions, demanding sophisticated scheduling and technical management. QTP's digital projects handle the complexity of maintaining audience engagement across multiple days, coordinating speakers in different time zones, managing technical infrastructure continuously, and ensuring consistent quality throughout. Their experience with marathon digital projects includes planning breaks appropriately, creating compelling programming flow, handling inevitable technical issues, and sustaining team energy. For organizations planning ambitious multi-day digital projects, QTP provides operational expertise and creative programming that keeps audiences engaged from opening to closing sessions.
