I tried searching the blog for posts mentioning Pierce and Armor, but came up empty, so once again I am here asking questions -
Regarding Pierce, since it seems to scale where armor doesn't, is it intended to allow you to ignore some of a Digimon's Toughness as well?
I can see the argument for not allowing Armor to scale with Digivolution level, but Armor also doesn't outright state that it can be bought multiple times like Giant does. I assume that's the intention with how devastating Pierce is otherwise.
Yeah, in the draft of the rules that's currently up on itch.io, there are some abilities that scale their bonuses based on Digivolution Level. I've since revised most of those to just be flat bonuses instead, usually just a +2 bonus, regardless of Digivolution Level.
In terms of the whole Pierce and Armor stuff, I'm not sure whether or not I want them to be the sort of thing you can buy multiple times. Who knows, I may also take out those abilities entirely in future versions, or rework them. So far, I've had so few digimon with Armor in my games that the Pierce ability has been kinda useless. That could just be how my group has been playing the game, though.
