*Use headphones for a WAY better listening experience! xx As promised, here's that recording of my insanely unhappy belly 😵💫
Here's me thinking that eating or drinking next to nothing for a day (besides water and tea) to give my stomach a break after a VERY overindulgent weekend would sort out my overworked tummy...but nope. I swear I've hit my own personal record for how distended my poor tummy has ever been, and it wasn't shy about letting me know that it really wasn't happy about it. I didn't even know my belly was capable of bloating that much seeing its pretty flat most of the time 😅
Everything in my stomach still felt it was sitting like a rock, which felt super blegh, so I had a liiittle bit of water to hopefully settle and help flush things out.
That was such a mistake 😖
The second the water hit my stomach, I felt a deep 'glug' just above my bellybutton, and I thought that was going to be it, but with zero warning it started to feel like my already tight belly was fighting to make room for those few sips. It felt like everything in my tummy was shifting, and soon after, the bubbling gurgles became almost constant. I'm so so glad I managed to get my phone out quick enough to catch that super long rush of gurgles (from approx. the 30 - 55 second mark).
Despite what it may sound like, it wasn't the kind of upset belly that meant I needed to run to the bathroom (thank god). Every time my belly erupted in waves of liquidy gurgles and groans, I could feel the movement rolling from one side of my bloated stomach to the other. It was super unsettling, crampy and uncomfortable, but at the same time...fuck, it felt good.
I wish I could pinpoint exactly what caused all of this, because if I could make it happen again, I absolutely would with no hesitation. I've never seen my belly this bloated, never felt or heard it this active and loud, and honestly I already miss it 🥺
