Are you afraid of the dark? Cause I used to be when I was your age and I'm no longer afraid of it now. Still afraid of people though, that one doesn't go away as easily

Dear Anonymous,

I'm terrified! Not being able to see in front of you or what's around you, anyone or anything could be there. I've been more scared this level more than ever since we just started learning more about mutants. One of them could show up when I'm sleeping for all I know! I know I'm supposed to be a teenager now, but it's still scary.

The good thing is that every night at the orphanage, me and the others sleep in the same room with some night lights. A lot of the younger ones are even more scared of the dark than I am so they ask to sleep with me in the same bed. That always makes me feel better. I'm the oldest so I wouldn't tell them, but they make me feel safer. I'm pretty scared of people too, especially talking to strangers...but I think people are what helps me be a little less scared of the dark too.

I know you don't like the idea of standing your ground and fighting but sometimes you need to do so to protect the ones you love (like those at the orphanage). Remember, bravery isnt the absence of fear, it's the ability to do things in spite of fear.

Dear Anonymous,

I would never want anybody in the orphanage or any of my friends to get hurt. What you're saying sounds good in theory...but I'm Level 13. I'm not as fast as Ruth or as smart as Anni. I'm nowhere near as good of a fighter as Jay. I don't know how much of a difference I can make trying to fight anything dangerous...and it's really scary just thinking about it! I think it's better to leave the scary stuff to the guards and adults.

If for some reason it did come down to me though...I hope I can be brave like you say...

You wanted to be a scientist right? What's the part about that you look forward to the most?

That's right, I would love to be a scientist one day! I actually don't have too many specific things because I don't know too much about what scientists do yet...but that's what's so exciting! What I do know is they make so many new things every day and study all the time! I just can't wait to start learning more about...everything! We start going on field trips next level to learn more about the Big Four so I'll update you then!

What are the best and worst parts of AMA in your opinion?

This isn't an official school survey or anything, just a curious anynomous person wanting to know what you think

By far the best part of the school is the teaching! Mr. Liang is really scary, Miss Wavra us pushes way harder than I want to, and Chase can be lazy sometimes but they all know what they're talking about and they're really good at what they teach. I've learned a lot this level. I'm also honored to be going to the same school that famous people like Wilbus Binte graduated from!

The worst parts are definitely bullies like Amos, Miss Wavra's classes can be really tiring sometimes, Mr. Liang can be really mean to you, there are so many students all the time so it can get really crowded in the hallways, oh and the size of the school can be really intimidating too because I sometimes get lost even on the first floor!

Oh! But um...I really love it here! I didn't mean to go on a rant there. Anti-Mutant Academy is the best school in Gallandor and I'm really proud to be a student!
